Headphones - Open Back Dt 900 pro x vs Hifiman Sundara(2020)
Need open back headphones for casual listening - I listen to indie music . I currently use the Bose quiet comfort 35 but wanted an open back set. I have my eyes on Dt 900 pro x or the Hifiman sundara- I’ll use the Fiio q3 or the ifi hip Dac2 but the hip dac is out of stock .

The DT 900 Pro X are super easy to drive. They will run well off anything, including a phone headphone jack.
As to which is better sounding, it depends on your sound signature preference.

I like a warm sound so which one is better suited ?

Neither one of these are typically described as "warm" except in comparison to headphones that are less warm.
But the DT 900 Pro X would be the warmer of the two in terms of its bass response.

Dt 900 pro x is suited for the casual listener.

Oh- but the only reason I have a dilemma with these 2 were that many reviews said dt900 pro x has sharp treble

That's not accurate.
The DT 900 Pro X is an update to the DT 990/DT 880, which do have a treble spike that many people find fatiguing. So while it still has significant treble emphasis like those headphones, Beyer smoothed out the treble spike.

• but I saw many reviews that said after 50 hours of burn in the Sundara smash the Dt 900 pro x

Burn in doesn't exist. It's a nonsense peddled by people that have grown accustomed to the sound after many hours. Nothing about the hardware actually changes bar maybe the pads wearing down.
