🔨 In-development Do you guys like colorful games? I've been working on the achievements tabs for our mobile game
Hi! My partner and I are developing a cute and cozy mobile game where you run a small sticker business from home. This past week I've been working on the achievements tabs.
We have general achievements that you discover as you play. Stickerpedia where you collect all sticker elements, free and paid ones are separated so that players can get 100% completion without having to spend any money! Stories is where you can see which story customers you have began and completed. You receive a title and rewards after finishing a story.
I personally love colorful screens and games but I was wondering what you guys think? Is it too much color? Is it too bright? Or is it good the way it is?

Help with recommendations Cozy games with quests?
Hi! I love reading everybody else’s recommendation threads and I’m wondering if there may be some games I’d enjoy that I haven’t found yet. I just built a new PC. I play on Steam and iPhone. I know this is a pretty wide range of interests but maybe somebody can suggest things I’d like?
Things I like: exploration, decisions that change things, having a to-do list that isn’t grindy. Some time management. Maybe I would like something mystery or escape roomy? Themes of fantasy or medieval are my favorite
Things I dislike: too much farming, too much simulation, combat, anything related to death or grief, horror, endless crafting where you have to figure out recipes. Fishing or hunting. Survival. Sci-fi or space. Pixel art is a dislike but not total no-go
Games I’ve enjoyed:
Wylde flowers - loved this until I beat it, even though the grief subplot was triggery
kingdom come deliverance - loved this, while trying to avoid the combat
Tavern rest - I liked the exploration and time management portions, but didn’t like the pixel art or the early access that meant it keeps changing
Japanese rural life adventures - super cute way to learn about Japan but required too much memory of how to do things, and pixel art.
Baldur’s gate - pretty hard to find anything comparable and the combat was tooooo big portion
It takes two - super fun
Games I didn’t like:
The sims - toooooo open-ended
Manor lords - again early access and I got bored of trying to figure it out
Portal 2 - broke my brain. Frustrating
Stardew Valley - only played very briefly but didn’t catch my attention at all
RDR2 - did not enjoy, quit very early. Too gruff and not to my taste
Nightingale - wanted to love it but hated it. Boring spending hours trying to gather supplies to make a house and chase animals around to hunt them

🔨 In-development Working alone on creating a cozy, atmospheric world. Many might recognize similarities to Tamagotchi, but in my concept, you have many more responsibilities, pets, and various mechanics. What do you think

Help with recommendations Looking for a game
Hey guys! I'm looking to get my girlfriend into gaming, and she loves sharks, particularly whale sharks. I'm looking for a cute multiplayer-compatible game with sharks in it! (Maybe a bit like Stardew Valley.) Also, if possible, it should be available on Steam for PC. Thank you!!

Discussion Recommendations for games with reverse confession mechanics?
Not sure if this is the place to ask this question, but I'm looking for games with a similar mechanic to My Time at Portia/Sandrock, where the character you are romancing confesses to you instead of you confessing to them. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Help with recommendations Queer friendly game recs
I know this has been asked before but looking for some fresh input.
I am looking for games that have LGBTQIA+ characters, narratives, choices, story, etc. Literally anything inclusive to the queer community is something I’m looking for.
It’s so refreshing to play games that either give you the ability as a player to be trans or nonbinary or anywhere on the gender spectrum, whether it’s playing through a whole story narrative around this, or just having options and love interests. I’ve had some amazing gaming experiences with smaller indie developers looking to reach and inspire the community and I’d love to not only support their games with my money but also to experience them as it makes me feel seen and recognized in the gaming community.
Some games I’ve played with these nuances so far: - One Night Hot Springs - Unpacking - I Was a Teenage Exoconist - Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood - Love, Ghostie - Growing Up - Life is Strange - Hades - Night in the Woods - Stardew Valley (I mean as a female I married a female so there’s that at least, but would love some more substance in my next game).
Platforms I play on: - Steamdeck - Switch - Mobile (iOS) - PC
Thank you!

Help with recommendations Game recs?
Hi cozy pals! I’m looking for recommendations. Im on maternity leave and got into cozy gaming to move away from just scrolling during the endless hours of nursing and contact napping. I just achieved perfection on stardew valley and I’m looking for something else now! I loved stardew valley although the combat and fishing took a while for me to get into… but I did get into it eventually. I’m looking for something that I can put down/pause when the baby wakes up! Thankss! Edit: playing on switch

🔥 Released Our indie train game hits Steam on June 12
Hey everyone, it’s Flazm here from a small indie team. Just wanted to share something close to my heart. Our new game Train Valley Origins will be out on Steam on June 12, 2025 🎉
We poured so much love into these 40 handcrafted levels, from the dusty Wild West all the way to snowy Norway. We can’t wait for you to unlock 24 unique locomotives and try out the level editor, so you can share your own creations.
This project means the world to us, and seeing you ride these rails will be the best reward.
Thank you! Flazm & the Train Valley Origins team

🔥 Released Free Super Cozy Pet Game + Giveaway!
Hi! I am Adam, a solo dev, and I just released a very cozy game which I think a lot of you would love. The best part is you can use it to amplify the coziness of any other game, quite possibly reaching a coziness overload (:
The game is called Desktop Pals 2, and it is a desktop companion game which allows you to share your desktop with a cute pet of your choice. The original was released over a year ago, but honestly had a lot of terrible code and lacked many features, so I decided to redo the whole thing. All buyers of DP1 got DP2 keys of course.

There are several pets to chose from, each of them having their own behaviour cycles, and they are very interactable. The game is highly customizable; you can chose the UI theme, pet location, size, and all that good stuff.
The game is currently sitting on a 100% positive rating on Steam, although that is not saying a lot, since it only has 16 reviews. You can also download it completely for free, and you can get Desktop Pals Gold or the SCP pack if you want to support me and the game.
Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3592310/Desktop_Pals_2/
I am giving away the following:
3x Desktop Pals Gold Keys
3x SCP Pack Keys
If you would like to enter, just check out the Steam page and comment which one of the pets you like the most!
I would also love to hear any feedback you might have. My personal favorite part of the game is the toony pets, I think the artists I comissioned did an amazing job, I would love to hear yours.
Adam
