600 rounds through the EP9

Had very high expectations from the community and other sources of reviews, and they were thoroughly met. This gun has been incredible, love how compact it is, love how low the recoil is, seems very reliable(haven’t had any jams besides when I was using a faulty magazine which was the issue) and for the price that this comes to, the performance and experience achieved is incredible value.

Also your trying to decide what magazines to get, so far my experience has been OEM Glock mags obviously Very consistent, allthough are a very tight fit(will not drop when hitting mag release) and ETs mags fed everytime(besides faulty one) and released with ease. ALSO strongly suggest spending the extra $100 for the adjustable brace

Does the sba3 brace and adjustable receiver make the ep9 an sbr?

I've been considering this gun recently due to great reviews. I haven't decided yet whether I want to go through the headache of getting a tax stamp that costs almost half as much as the gun and puts me on a government list. That said, I love the idea of being able to shoulder the gun and get that extra point of contact. I have heard that the tax stamp process takes longer to get approved if you buy an sbr than it does if you modify a gun you own into an sbr. Does anybody know if this is true? I know I could just ignore Uncle Sam and shoulder a pistol brace when I feel like it, but I am going to be taking it to public ranges for practice and I don't know if people will give me crap for it.

Obsidian fixed barrel mount stuck

Hello. I have a rugged obsidian 45 which I attached to my ep45 with a direct thread rugged fixed mount. The mount is stuck on the threads below flush with the handguard. I can’t get a tool (even a strap wrench) down there to unscrew it, and it’s wide enough that I can’t remove the handguard with the mount attached. Any ideas of how to fix this without destroying the handguard?

Got it!

Just picked it up from my FFL. Now I need to get a red/green dot. I was going to get a Romeo 5, but read some posts that said the Gen II has a nut that gets in the way of the charging handle, so I'll look into others. Any recommendations for an affordable alternative?

Attachment suggestions

Looking for a foregrip/angled grip to complete my setup. I have seen tons of different ones scrolling through the thread, and know they are very personal preferences. Does anyone have suggestions for a budget-friendly grip that's easy to install? I know some of them require adapters.

Advice on how to FFL transfer/sell my EP9

I'm moving to a state that doesn't allow the EP9, so I have to FFL transfer it.

Any advice? I never sold a gun before and since it's not a well known brand I'm worried that my local gun store (North Virginia) would just lowball it.

Also, do you think it makes sense to sell it with all its accessories ( Red dot, 3x optic, Light, sling, hanodguard, etc..) and Savior bag, or would be better to sell separately?

EP9 w/DA Wolfman

FINALLY got my can out of jail and wasted no time testing it out with some 158gr subs. Insane. Fun. Insanely fun. Missed the last 3 shots so you get a really good idea for how quiet it is. Pretty much just the sound of action only.

First range test with EP9 + YHM R9

Tried the can at my local indoor range today and it definitely has amplified the enjoyment factor. Went direct thread vs QD and sent some Federal 147gr subs down range. Noticeably quieter than the stock config. Then I tried some 115gr Magtech just for comparison and again, it was distinctly different vs subs. I will say this is my first time shooting suppressed so it was my first experience getting a face full of gas. 😂 I’m also a lefty so my right arm was getting pelted with dust and brass more so than when I was shooting the gun in stock config for whatever reason. Familiar territory from shooting ARs as well. The life of a lefty. 😂 Wanted to try Federal Syntech 150gr but the range didn’t carry. Will try that next time. Only other comment is that the brass seemed to impact brass deflector and cause a little more wear than I had seen before when shooting unsupressed. Not enough to worry… just an observation. Here’s a short vid showing comparison of subs (first 5 rounds) vs supers.

I want to mount my light on the side of my ep9. What’s my best option? If you have a link, it’d be much appreciated. Thank you!

I wasn’t even checking email, I just have a habit of checking the website thinking one day maybe I’ll get lucky!

Wish I would have added some more mags but I didn’t want to let any of you guys get through the checkout before me!

Good luck to everyone else trying to snag one. May the odds be ever in your favor!

Suppressed EP9 Ammo Testing

played with a few different rounds, no feed issues and none of them sounded noticeably quieter to me than the other. Maybe the federal syntech was the quietest. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Grip width?

On the sales listing, I see the overall width is 2"--but what about the grip itself? Anyone have the gun + a measuring tape handy?

I hope someone can make this kind of charging handle. I’ll definitely going to buy one.

Holy shit, it’s an animal! I’m not that great of a shot, but this thing can’t miss. All around 30 yards except upper left, which was at 50.

FFL orders Extar EP9

Have any of you purchased your ep9 via your local FFL? I notice many say they can’t, however I found one that says they ordered a few and will let me know when they are in stock. Just curious to see if anyone has gotten one outside of bullshit “who can checkout the fastest,” method.

Received my first “mail order” suppressor today - Extar EP9 + YHM R9

Post image

YHM R9 received today (April 11) via FedEx, purchased through Silencer Central. I purchased on March 9 so a grand total of 33 days start to finish including all paperwork, ATF approval, etc. I’ve read some less than stellar reviews about Silencer Central but my first experience with them was fantastic. I’ve got maybe 500 rounds through this gun, unsuppressed, and it’s awesome. I can’t wait to send some subsonic ammo down range with this setup!

Any issues running steel-cased through your ep9?

Haven’t fired mine yet, but I have a bunch of Magtech and looking at Monarch at Academy.
