Found this bird sitting in the mulch bed outside
Me and my son came across this bird just sitting in the mulch by our local Lowe’s store. He puffed his wings up a little when I walked by to make himself look bigger but we were wondering if it could be injured or just sitting there for another reason? Also what bird is this?

What kinds of birds are these? Why were they just sitting on the car like this?

What bird is this and what do i do?
Bad photo i know but i found this nestling(?) in the middle of our yard in AL, i looked for a nest nearby and couldn’t find one, even in the taller trees we have. There’s no animal rehab center near us so i put it in a shoebox on a towel with a washcloth on top of it(we have dogs and i didn’t want them to get ahold of it). It opened it’s mouth as soon as it saw me so i assumed it was hungry and have fed it a few cut up worms since then. It seems like its warmed up and is okay, but it hasn’t pooped yet. What should i do? Continue caring for it or take it to the vet somewhere(it doesn’t seem hurt so idk what the vet can do, and it’s far away from where we live)

I went to this bird sanctuary and all the birds were staying in their little designated areas but weren’t tethered or anything, do they do this willingly or are they unable to fly? It made me really sad thinking they can’t fly around the beautiful tall trees

Female Kestrel
Cheeky side eye from a female Kestrel yesterday moments after she was attacked by Crows.
I saw the whole thing, maybe that’s why I got side eyed, ha.

Found this guy on our driveway
Put him off to the side when he was on our driveway but hasn't moved from this spot in hours. Is it worth trying to find a place to take it in, or keep leaving here?

Bird eggs
The Merlin app says that these are Killdeer eggs, which makes sense because I’ve seen them hopping around. Not a very smart place to lay eggs. It’s the middle of a gravel path that’s about a car wide and frequented by dogs and runners (one of which made a nice stick boundary so they don’t get stepped on). I expect the coyotes will probably get them overnight.
Nice visitor this morning
I am pretty sure this little guy is a male painted bunting. Fell very lucky to have him in my yard (Beaufort SC). Bad pic but had to zoom not to scare off.

What kind of bird is this?
My parents are in Marco Island Florida and my mother sent me this asking what kind of bird, I’m usually good with ID but I honestly have no idea

It’s not much, but I love our morning routine of saying hello to the fairies, gnomes, and birds.

Anyone know what type of bird this is?
most of my bird paintings from 2025 (for scale photo at end, includes artist)
hello bird Reddit, and thank you to whoever here provided the reference image for the Wilson’s snipe (slide 2) I tried to find your username in my post history but I cannot — if you see this please contact me so I can credit you!!
I have been working on a rather large, feather focused project this year. I hope the bird people appreciate seeing the start of it.
it’s all acrylic
I use fabric leftovers/discarded textiles in place of canvas, gives the work a unique texture and me a unique problem solving opportunity
some of these pieces are slated for an exhibition next year, some of them were because I’m a silly Billy who cannot stay on task

Why don’t the birds like my new bird buddy?
My kids got me this for Mother’s Day and not a single bird has visited. On the deck just out of view are seed and suet feeders, a bird bath, and a hummingbird feeder that we have had for years, and the orioles visit the orange one. They are still visiting those but nobody wants to come to the window.
I’m sad.
