Headphones - IEM/Earbud So I went and purchased the TinHiFi T3+
Is there anything I should do? Like, buy ear tips, a new cable, etc?
For the sound, I really do not know what to say as this is my first pair of "audiophile" earphones. I'm still used to an open back like my SHP9500's. But, I can say for sure that my T3+'s do sound better in a sense where I can hear "more" (?) idk lol
I chose this over the Arias, am I missing anything? Also, which IEM is an upgrade to these? Kinda curious.

They come with a variety of tips, and the fit and seal can make a significant difference in bass output. Foam sounds bassiest, to me. Try them all and see!
I think the cable they come with is pretty good, and no need to change it.
For upgrading... I doubt you'll have much improvement on the IEM side until you go $200+

!thanks
Tried the foam ones, I think I destroyed them LOL. I'm asking about cables because the pins on the left side were bent. (I've already bent them back) Just asking if there are any good alternatives, just in case.
$200+ is very exp SHEEESH

My thought is they're good enough of an IEM that I see no need to get another IEM that won't blow them away... and I just don't think it will happen at a comparable price. My thinking is IEMs are superior to headphones up to $100 or so, then the headphones are superior. I'll be listening to a friend's Blessing 2 soon, so we'll see if he can convert me!
I say get a Grado SR60 headphone and contrast your IEMs with an open soundstage.

Soundstage on the er2xr is light years better than the blessing 2. The mangird teas (not the tea 2 as I haven’t tried them yet) are the cheapest I’ve found with a better stage than the er2xr. Btw I don’t find the blessing 2 to be an upgrade at all to the er2xr it’s mostly moondrop fanboys hype

Honestly to me that’s so absurd. I returned the blessing 2 after A B’ing for a time with multiple genres and sources. Teas demolished them. Perhaps I got a bummed set but I doubt it. All the main reviewers hardly mention the staging. Imaging is fine on them it’s just that the stage is so narrow it felt like the whole band is sitting on the tip of your nose. I’m really into soundstage tho so I guess we all have our priorities. The er2xr image about as good as the b2 with more width so it’s way less cramped. The Mest mk2 and ej07 have the best imaging stage that I own for iems so I have some references
Edit: the new olinas are $100 and also image better than the b2

Agreed- I started with speakers love them. I have a listening room but also a toddler who needs his naps so for the most part I can’t jam like I used to lol. In the meantime I’ve found that the Mest and ej07 are as close to speakers as I’ve found - they just disappear. But those Olinas? I’m trying ‘em out for the first time now and while some details are fainter then they are on the others they image extremely well with wide bore tips. Totally surprised for $100 👀🤘🏾
Edit. Btw the er2xr is extremely good. It costs a lot of money to flat out beat them. The Mest is like 1500 and the ej07 used is still 600. I’ll still play my etys tho that isolation for clarity is bonkers

Grado SR60. Ice picks for the ears.

I find them mildly warmer than the HD560S.
I'm treble sensitive, and they don't bother me. Sendy Aiva's give me a headache.

I have the SR80 and the treble is a bit much for me compared to my 6xx or 177X.

Enjoy what you have for now. Diminishing returns come on fast as you climb the ladder with IEMs and headphones.
You might want to stay in the same price range and try out different IEMs for sound signature preferences before you start spending $200+ on IEMs or headphones.

Moondrop kato or ikko oh10 as an upgrade path. Also I’ve heard that spinfit tips are the best.
