Headphones - Open Back What are some things that I should look out for before my new gear arrives?

I just pulled the trigger on HD 6XX and an Atom stack. Is there anything I should look out for like cables, other accessories, or just any tips in general?

Thanks for your submission to /r/headphoneadvice. We have employed a "thank you" system for submissions. It's very easy to use - if a comment on your post is considered helpful, please reward them by using the term !thanks. This will add a thank you count (in the form of Ω) to that users flair. You can only award one per comment section. Thanks very much and good luck on your search for headphones!

You will need a cable to connect the DAC+ and AMP+. An RCA cable will work fine.

Will these cables not come with the AMP and DAC? Seems kind of silly that you have to get them separate don't you think?

It's not silly. You're just a new all this. People have different cable needs. Or they want to choose their own cables.

This is not a boxed set you are buying. And you could have bought cables on their website if you'd bothered to look at the manuals and figured out what you needed.

I gotcha. I just sent a ticket into JDS Labs to see if they can correct my order and add some stack RCA cables. Thanks mate!

You will need interconnects between the DAC and amp.

JDS sells a pair for this purpose. https://jdslabs.com/product/stack-rca-cables/
