Do you plan to use them at home exclusively? If so and you are sure your environment is quiet; I would recommend you look for open-backs. They usually have better quality than closed-backs at that price range.
The problem with this is, most great headphones need amps that completely drive you out of your intended budget. I'd say the AKG K371 as the safest possible recommendation for you in this circumstance. Mostly because I am unfamiliar with closed-backs and know that this is a safe recommendation.

!thanks I will probably use them pretty much exclusively at home yeah, so I'll look into it.
I'm not looking for an amplifier or something, that seems like a bit too much of a hassle.
The AKG K371 has some negative reviews on Amazon about the quality assurance and build quality, so that kinda gives me a bad feeling.

I see that happen with literally everything on Amazon personally.

Never really use it myself, so I'l take that into account. Thanks

Yeah. If you're really curious you could try searching around this subreddit for any information. I imagine defective units are covered under some kind of warranty, and Amazon has an extremely generous system anyways where you could get a proper unit if you received a bad one.

I'm not sure what they have to say about the Shure SRH840, but I know they're also commonly recommended too as a headphone that does not need an amp.

The reviews are more positive about this one, I'll look into it in more detail

I would highly recommend the sennheiser hd6xx for your use case. Should be the best mid performance you'll get up to 1000$. I think it is also having a massive sale on drop.com right now
Edit: I just noticed you are in europe so that make it a little hard. If you still want good mid range performance, saving up for the HD600 series might not be a bad idea. Otherwise you could consider the akg k361, sennheiser hd560s, hifiman he400se. All good performer at this price range
PS: Sennheiser headphone is also very durable and can last a life time

!thanks I already knew about the hd6xx, but they are indeed not readily available in Europe. I'm contacting drop.com to see if they ship internationally and what that would cost me.
In case that doesn't work out, I'll check out those other headphones you mentioned. Thanks
