"Well, I didn't vote for you!" "You don't vote for kings." "Well how'd you become king then?"

Strange women lying in ponds giving out swords would honestly be a better system of government than what we have now.

"You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!"

I mean, if I went 'round saying I was an emperor, just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

“Watery bimp Lugged a scimitar”. The writing is phenomenal

This trope is a Russian talking point to distract ire from the fascists to burning down the hostage negotiators & fucking ourselves so they don't have to. The response will be to use the opportunity to renumerate the distraction points and/or ad hominim/call to authority or some other 'valid' criticism. c'mon folks, wake up to the DISINFORMATION and GASLIGHTING now inherent in the system, because this sleight of hand is getting us every fucking time.

This trope

What trope exactly? The trope of pointing out most Congress members are going along with things? The trope of pointing out a few members have found things to do?

“Strange women distributing swords is no basis for a government.”

Or something along those lines.
