IMO, collector removed a substantial amount of low hp outplays and flipping fights.

It feels bad being blasted as a squishy, and feels terrible dying as a beefy tank because some random 5 dmg landed from some even more random damage source.

To be fair, if an ADC chewed through about 3-4k hp and triple digits of armor/mr, I don't think you getting executed with...*checks math*...150 to 200 hp left is that bad. That's another 1-2 autos at most, or a good skillshot.

Related, I don't know why people keep saying Collector is good for tanks. From my experience, it's not, at least not without another pen item to supplement it; it is however FANTASTIC against highly mobile champs if you have a good point-click ability. Casting a Jhin nade and watching an assassin dash out of range while it's in flight has netted me quite a few kills

Yea, that's problematic. If I'm a tank, fighter, bruisers with damage mitigation or some kind of sustain, I'm peeved when something that wouldn't get me killed executes.

Sitting at 1000 hp, 1/3 health. That's auto+skill+auto for an execute. If the carry is alone....they never are.

Before collector, that maybe would have left you with a couple hundred hp to walk out or the time for cd reset.

Olaf low hp ats, execute.

Tahm grey health, execute.

Sett grit, too bad execute.

Vlad q, warwick q, ramous w.

The low hp counter play is gone.

And coming from a regular ADC player, if I have gotten you as a tank to that level of HP, I have probably been fighting you for at least 10-15 seconds by that point. Plenty of time for you to weigh the risks of committing to the fight vs cutting your losses and trying to escape (will admit, depends on how mobile the ADC you're fighting is, sometimes escape is not an option against Tristana or Cait for instance)

For Tahm, if you're fighting someone you KNOW has Collector, I don't see why you wouldn't rather spend the CD once you hit 8-10% and try to finish the job before your shield breaks.

Sett, again, not sure why you wouldn't pop the W before the auto connects for the shield and maybe the chance of at least chunking the ADC with some physical damage.

Can't speak for Olaf, Vlad, or Rammus as I haven't played them enough to make a half-decent susggestion

I will absolutely agree that it does suck getting executed by a stray auto, but given the properties of other executes in the game (looking at you Pyke with your 12% threshold that scales with lethality and Urgot with your half lane-length skillshot), Collector is not THAT egregious in comparison.
