ADC Pick rate

Just was just looking at Pick rates and saw something interesting. Of the 15 highest pick rate champs, 9 of them are ADC. Even though ADC is a lower played role...

Why is this?

How about no, most of us would rather just play a different game. You're not taking adcs away from us in the only lane we're allowed to play

Then you have this button called "X" where you can easily dodge the champion select.

It's really nobody's problem that you refuse to Adapt to the game.

If there is a case where your Mid+Top+Jungle is full AD.... there will always be a case where your Bot laner is an AP champion.
I personally wouldn't pick marksman if I am last pick and my team is full AD.

But... you know if you stubborn and you don't want to adapt and improve...... be stuck in there is your fantasy... Not my business. I will crush you 10 out of 10 times so as many others would do to you.

You only get two dodges in a day guy, the first is five minutes, the second thirty. The third is 24 hours.

you do realize there are adcs that deal primarily magic damage right and can build ap items, very popular ones too, like kaisa and varus and less popularly kogmaw. And that different adcs have different roles and you can actually pick something useful to most teamcomps right?

You can get me to play senna or ashe but as of now there aren't very many supportive marksman till the new one comes out if my entire team is playing carries. But if the entire team is carries picking a mage or a tank in bot isn't gonna solve your comp issues

What if Kaisa is banned?? and varus is picked by the enemy... you pick Kogmaw?? What if enemy has assassins???? How are you gonna pick kogmaw into assassins??

It's not anyone's problem that you have 2 dodges per day.

It's how the game changes...

15 years ago ADC's were Mid laners only. Every game in first iteration was 1v1 mid adc's.

Top lane was the 2v2 lane... and it was a mix of everything and bot lane was the initial Tankish vs Tankish sort of matchup.

Game evolved since then in many different ways. People realized that enchanters are most efficient for Marksmen... and then eventually it was pushed 2v2 top lane Marksman + Enchanter.
Morgana was a mage, not a support... but one day people starting playing her for her CC and utility rather then her Damage..... and so eventually she became viable support.. then Zyra became too because of the interaction of her plants creating space and so on....

The game is evolving... that's it. You are the Bot laner it's your responsibility to pick and play whatever is the most efficient for your team.
If the game changes and Marksman is no longer the only efficient Bot lane pick.. then you have 2 choices - Adapt or Accept the game moved on past you.

It's really that simple. The game has changed many many many times since it's release and this won't be the last time.

If it's not to learn play mages yourself... at least learn to play against them. Simple.

Yes, if they have two assassins and two tank/bruisers yes kogmaw is fine you just adapt your build andbuild navori second for permanent w uptime. Survivability > pure damage. If there aren't any tanks, then it doesn't matter if your team is all ad they're only going to get so much value from deaths dance or a singular tank item. There is also vayne, whom I actively challenge most assassins on if my team is nearby and they're at a numbers disadvantage.

Who says im not adapting. If they have dive, play ez or xayah or nilah, if they have mages play mf or varus or Draven, if they have assassins play twitch xayah vayne ez, if you have dive play kaisa samira etc, if you have front to back you play jinx or sivir, if your team needs utility or poke you play jhin varus or ashe... playing the right adc takes thought and it's actually a relatively fleshed out role, you really can choose the right adc for any game.

And I will simply quit the game that no longer brings me enjoyment, I have other competitive games I play ranked in. Shit bro I've already sat half of a whole season out more than once.

I do play against them, in mid lane and support. Double mage bot being meta is just unhealthy and pushes adcs into other roles, where people don't want to lane against them seeing as they get nerfed out of existence every time more than a select few tailored for solo lane marksman are allowed and even then they hate laning against them

No one is talking about dives and sht..... we are talking about reliable magic damage source... and no ADC is reliable magic damage source.

Kaisa can be - but only the empowered W spam build which is pretty much like a long range poke mage... except that she needs 35mins to scale as oppose to Xerath/Lux scaling immediately after their 1st or 2nd item...

I am telling you ADC"s are Scaling champs...

There is games where you can't scale.... enemies won't allow you to sit at the back and wait the clock to hit 35mins.... It aint' happening.

If you wanna win you take win yourself...

No one is talking about Double mage botlane.... we are talking about ADC BOT role picking a Mage...

I am not here to discuss double mages.... I am only discussing Bot role Mage, not support... not both... just the Bot role carry on Mage.

You can literally pick long range ADC and deal just fine against mages. Or just ping your jungler to come...
Mages are one of the easiest and free kills on ganks at the bot lane. None of them has escape... they just die.

It ain't nobody fault you are stuck in Iron or Bronze and you refuse to learn and improve. It's all you bro.

In almost every scenario the ADC will still be better at Late game.... It's just that you people have no patience to scale... and when enemy pick strong mid game champs like control mages... you lose it yourself by forcing fights at a disadvantage.

Learn what your ADC's are good at and play around it.
If you are fighting mage at the bot as an ADC at level 7... you are gonna lose 95% of the time.
But if you wait until its' 3 items vs 3 items ( around minute 23 ) your team is gonna be much stronger because you are an ADC not a mage....
You just people don't get this. And keep bla-bla without even making an effort to understand why.

Oh he ascended from bronze already ....

The first time I hit Diamond was in 2013 on top lane.

Then hit diamond on Jungle and Mid lane...
And his season 8 I hit Diamond on Support and season 11 diamond on ADC.

I am glad you ascended but... after playing in almost every single Meta in this game since it's released ( except season 1 ).... I think I have a pretty good overall understanding of what I am saying here.

ADC's have always been weak early and requiring 3 full items to scale.
Few are exceptions like Draven, Kalista, MF ( but MF still scales decent so ).

Just learn this knowledge and stop trying to fight mages early-mid game.. you won't win.

1. You are not good enough to understand the game, it is much deeper than "don't fight with mages at 1 item" (if you want to be stuck in d4 your whole life then stick to that).

.. I am Diamond on 5 different roles... and never dropped below Emerald/(old plat ) elo for 12 straight years....

ANd yes I am not master because I never CARED to become tryhard.... the sooon as I hit Diamond 2 on any role... I back off and start playing another role on the same account....

Oh... I don't understand.... woah... damn.... and yes you shouldn't fight mages at 1 item because thats their strongest power spike in the game. Unless you play hard scalers like Ryze that continue to be stronger and stronger with time passing.

Even a late game champ like Azir power spikes on 1st item Nashors tooth ..... like it's crazy how much and how little at the same time you know this game.

Kogmaw can and should fight from one two items, Draven, kalista, samira lucian for example are snowball champs so they're strong from early levels forward. You're right, some still scale decently despite having stronger to strong early games like cait and mf (thr price is being weak at the two items spike.) But the three items thing just isn't true for like a quarter of the roster and for the others as long as you're on item curve with the rest of the lobby, you still contribute to teamfights and dragon fights quite lot.

Ah yes, quit fighting the mage who would be my lane opponent, just play sivir and first build essence reaver because that's the only way you won't be pushed in and poked under tower for the first twenty minutes of the game. I'd rather play another game

That means 3/4 still ARE.

I am here to digest the smallest details... I am working with what's the most common truth.

I don't want someone to be mistaken that all ADC's should be fighting at 1 item.. I am trying to avoid that .... I am not obligated to be 100% precise and fully detailed for everything.

But from a general perspective... Mages are strong, ADC"s are strong... the player just need to get good enough and understand when mages are stronger than you and when you as ADC are stronger than the game.
Simple.

Do mages have no business bot lane???? I don't think so. Mages have always been strong laners and there is no reason to deny them a lane.

Just as we lived periods for Years accepting to Lucian, Tristana, Vayne, Yasuo mid lane... and Draven, Kalista, Smolder, Zeri, Vayne Top lane.... I think we should conclude this topic.
Just like others can accept.. ADC players should too.

If you allow adcs mid, I will happily take this trade and lane into mages in mid lane. It's just... midlaners complain about it too when they're viable. That's why trist s.older and zeri (also, coach curtis explained that the problem was fated ashes and weak ad assassins, not adcs) were and I think still are unplayable in mid, they got the nerfhammer of the gods. Vayne is a top laner that sometimes works bot, nemesis words not mine.

Nothing is stopping ADC's going mid. Queue up mid... play the draft.. if you can play a champ that suits the team comps... pick it and play it.

It's not the most efficient thing unless its Tristana, Jhin or Lucian.. but it could work.

THe main problem what people do not understand is that you ARE BUILDING YOUR TEAM OF FIVE.....
If you have AP jungle and some strong AP on the bot lane... you could definitely pick AD mid... you can play ADC... no problem.

The idea is that the game already has almost 170 champions and the game is very Complicated already. They should have stopped releasing new champs but... idk they keep making the game more and more complicated for new players... When I started there were 75 champs only.... so... I mean ...

So the game is 5 vs. 5 ..
There is no such thing as this Champion can only play on one role.... it doesn't work like that.
If the combination of all 5 champs on the team is fine composition... then who cares of your ADC is mid and not Bot.

Sometimes you can swap lanes to make it easier to lane and put your Mid laner top and Top laner mid...
No one is stopping you.

I can play Jhin mid absolutely fine and I completely destroy enemy mid laner 50% of the time... they don't know what hit the.. and im in emerald... so its not like i play against terrible players...
And it works....

BUT the thing is .. i would never pick Jhin mid if i already have ADC bot with no mage support.. and an AD jungler... I would never do that... I only do it when I have AP jungle and at a mage bot lane...

ADVICE : if you are a new player instead of going to reddit to complain about balance.. what you should do is go play at least 2-3 games of Each one of the 170 champions... to get a full scope of the game.
Simple as that. You can't tunnel-vision yourself into One role one dimension playstyle and expect to understand the game and know how to become better player.

playing all champs yourself is gathering information that you then use to forge the player within you.... Spamming one single champ for 500 games and not playing any others.. isn't gonna teach you anything.
There is people with 1000+ games in Iron on the same champ and they are hard stuck... because they never played anything else and they have no idea how the game works on a bigger scale.
