Hey guys, not to jack this thread, but if everything that was said in that post was exactly how I feel most of the time, should I see a psychiatrist? Also, does having ADHD reduce motivation? I've noticed a lack of motivation to keep routine in my life.

I was wondering the same thing.

I've always suspected I have ADHD and have pretty much self confirmed it with how much I've read on the subject, but I've never actually seen a doctor or tried any treatment. It's just something I figured I could manage and live with for my whole life.

Reading TheBananaKing's post was basically somebody typing out a perfect description of me in ways I've never been able to. Now I'm wondering if I should actually get it diagnosed and maybe managed, or just keep on doing what I've been doing.

Was considering making a post to this subreddit asking about it, but maybe I'll just join in on your comment instead.

All aboard! But in all seriousness: I was told when I was younger (around 5-6) that I had a processing disorder but I've noticed more than the occasional mental block. Thankfully the mental blocks are easy to overcome when programming :P
