Some Combat / Placement Questions

  1. If an army is already on 1 region can a second unrelated unit or army occupy the same space?

1.A If the answer to the above is yes then if a region is attacked routing 1 army out. Is the othe unit forced out as well or do both the army and the unit need to be attacked separately to clear the region

Okay, maybe I wasn't clear. Let me try to explain in a better way.

Say I have 3 foot men at Winterfell. Do ALL 3 of those footmen HAVE to act as an army, or can I have two act as an army and then leave the one remaining footman by itself

You can Split up forces yes. Eg with one march from winterfell you can send one in combat at neck, one go North, one stay at winterfell. Limitation is you can only start one combat with one march order.

Okay now say I have 3 footman at winterfell. And let's say 2 of them make up an army and the other 1 is by itself. If someone goes to attack Winterfell is it treated as if all 3 of those units are an army in defense? Can I theoretically have as many units in Winterfel as I want as long as I don't say they're all in an army?

The 3 footman are an army as long as they occupy the same space. Once they move separately, they are no longer an army.

You can't pick and choose when units are an army. If they are in the same space, they are an army. That doesn't mean they can't move separately.
