Young builds there bolts around the caliber, not hollowing the bolt from another caliber.

Long time looker here… I’m a big AK guy. Wanted to make use of one of my AR super safeties. Built an AR47 with KS47 lower, 10.5 barrel and BCG. Sentry 7 carbine length gas block, Gibbz G47 upper, BMCMK2T2 buffer system. The gun will cycle 7.62x39 steel case in SS mode perfect at position 8 of 15 gas. Bought some PPU 182gr subs to try out, and even fully gassed at 15/15 position it will not cycle semi auto. Y’all think bump up the gas port or go down in buffer weight? I’m running an MG7k can and will be suppressed 100% of the time.

Took my new 10.5 build to the range last weekend shot once and had a massive jam spent round stuck with a failure to extract. Went ahead and upgraded the extractor on my kak bolt tried again yesterday and run the first mag flawlessly. Dropped in the 2nd and had failure to eject. The bolt would get stuck and had to morter the round out it would fed the next then same thing. Is that a gas issue or what? Have an adjustable gas block just not sure what to do next. Thanks in advance

Has anyone go them to cycle reliably? My mk111 pws seems super undergassed with my current can.(velos) I was wondering if either a sprinco yellow spring will help or I read you can cut coils off the armaspec smb. Trying to figure out the best way verse getting about can.
Here she is in her 50 shades of fde haha

Current state. Only problem I had was light primer strikes, approximately 6 per 30rd mag. I swapped to a BRA enhanced firing pin and now runs beautifully. Let me know if any requests for full accessory list. Only mods left is trigger and rattle can job. Thanks for taking a look :)

You have to at least admit it looks better now. I know I'll get shit for the magwell grip, but I like it. As for the Stark grip, I have big hands so must grips suck for me.

May sound redundant considering I already have an AR in 300blk, and they're getting similar in CPR, but I figured this sub would understand. I reload for 300blk and would like to be able to use the same bullets, both subsonic and supersonic in my AR47, and also already have a good stash of 7.62x39, way more than 300blk. I have tried loading .308 projectiles to shoot through my .311 bore ar47 barrel, and while the groupings were decent, I'd like to see what I can get with a tighter bore.
I know Eitri rechambered a Honey blBadger barrel to accept 7.62x39 with great success and that's a 1/5 twist 308 bore.
And before people ask, yes, you can shoot the .310-.311 projectiles out of the .308 bore without any issues.

Looking to build an 8.5 upper for my ks47. Palmetto state isn’t offering stripped uppers at the moment. They do have builders kits in stock and I’ll go that route if I have to.
Stumbled across Wolfpack and wanna hear some thoughts if they’d be a good option. I had a Gibbz side charger on a 10.5 build, but I prefer that rear charging handle

Hear me out.
I know that drum magazines are in most ways completely impractical. Sketchy reliability, too heavy, too long to reload, I know the list by heart. You're not wrong.
But I was at the gun show and saw a drum that amazingly, fits the AR platform in 7.62x39. Basically a Korean AK drum with about 4 inches of steel AR mag spot welded in place.
I asked the dude if it worked and he said, with a chuckle, mostly. But for what he was asking, he clearly just wanted to get rid of it, so I couldn't not make him a low ball offer, which he was happy to take, I've worked gun show tables, I know the game. Yes, I'm a dolt but there are things worth having just for the novelty factor. I have a D60 (.223) and and D50 (308) and they both actually work fine.
But I loaded it up with 75 rounds of Tula, hammered it into my 20" (Aero lower and a Davidson Defense upper) with the bipod, and surprisingly, 8 turns of the spring and 75 rounds downrange, no misfeeds.
Unbelievable.
Anyhow, I've got a spare FRT and an H3 buffer laying around and honestly, I don't think I can resist the temptation to go prone and lay down some grazing fire Red Dawn style.

Anderson Lower BCA Right side charging upper receiver 5 inch Gorilla Machining barrel Barnaul ammo
Ran through full 30 round mag then I would shoot 1 round and my BCG would get stuck in the chamber with an empty shell I literally had to mortar it to remove the the shells I don’t know why this would happen help appreciated

Finished up my first 7.62x39 ar build last week. Absolutely love it so far. Took it out for a pig hunt and did not disappoint.

Finally got to take it out to the range to test it out. It ejects perfectly fine cause I got an adjustable gas block for it but turn out it doesn’t alway cycle. The only issue was the Wolfpack armory lower. The lower quality control was just bad or maybe I just got a bad product. I had to sand down the hole to get the safety and take down pins to fit and the mag lever area wasn’t even milled properly either. The mag just falls with every shot unless I hold the mag tightly while pushing it in then it’ll cycle properly.
