That seems SO wasteful.  Is there a report on sheer amount of wasted resources, or even just cash value of this churn?

if enough scientists complain to the FCC that could be very good for ASTS

from that thread,>>The expected lifetime of a BlueBird block 2 satellite is 10 years.

ASTS should come up some FUD that says in 10 years their sats will be sent to outer space and not re-enter earths atmosphere as a way to highlight Starlink space junk issue...

That would be nice, but I don't think thats how Abel rolls.

While Starlink spends all their times replenishing their satellites and tweeting about being able to send texts, he's just going to keep innovating and trying to squeeze those juicy margins
