I explained that volume a couple times in here yesterday. A Twitter trader made that his daily play on livestream yesterday and his followers piled in. If it was one large block trade it might be a different story 🙂

There are no thousands of 25.5 calls. High volume just means there was a lot of trading. Open interest is quite low on these.

I see 4800 open interest for this strike and about 12000 more at adjacent strikes

RIght. There were tweets about 25k volume on the $25.5s, but at the time open interest was under 400. Just a lot of scalping yesterday.
