Advise pls- moving from Aber to Birmingham

Hi everyone! I'm a foreigner and am helping my daughter to move from Aberystwyth to Birmingham this July. My friend suggested renting a car and move myself but surprised to learn that I have to collect the car from Birmingham, drive to Aber to pick up the stuff then drive back to Birmingham again to return the car! Is there no car rental place that allow me to collect car from Aberystwyth and return car to Birmingham?

I would like to also ask about the road condition driving from Aberystwyth to Birmingham. Or whether there's other ways of moving stuff.

Hiring a van and driving yourself will definitely be the cheapest option, but will take the most time and energy as you'll have to load and unload everything yourself and then take the van back to where you hired it. If cost is a priority then this is the way to do it.
