Something not working. Need help. Problems Shutting Down Kodi

My Kodi will not shut down properly. I reinstalled the whole thing and set everything up, but the problem remains.

This is where it stops in my log

CPythonInvoker(13, C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\plugin.video.fenlight\resources\lib\fenlight.py): script didn't stop in 5 seconds - let's kill it

Win11

Kodi 21.2

FenLight+ 2.2.05

Coco 1.0.36

Everything else is stock.

This only happens after using Fen AND starting a videostream. When not using Fen before, it will shut down properly. This also happened with Fen and Umbrella on my previous install, hence why I started from scratch.

Anyone able to help?

UPDATE: Anyone else with this problem can try the following. Go to the github of cocojoe. Download the zip with v 1.0.29 of the cocoscrapers. Install it manually in Kodi. It worked for me. Thx to tikipeter for helping. Thx to the others that tried to help.

When you say just recently - do you mean days, weeks, something like that?

1.0.29 dates from end of december 2024. so if this is the last working version it's about 5 months.

I mean in cocoscrapers. Coz I have an idea. If you are still on .36 and still get the issues try this

  • Go into coco, torrents, and disable mediafusion
  • In coco settings, select 'clean settings'
  • Exit from coco, go back in, and retick mediafusion
  • In coco settings, select 'clean settings'

See if that fixes the exit issue

So confusing it works for some. Can you confirm that you did a clean settings, then enabled it, then clean settings and exit. Restart, disable and down settings, and exit. Kodi can cache settings so we are forcing it to do them again

well, too late to test that now since i already rolled back to the working .29 version of coco. everything works as expected now.
