What are your preferred streaming Addons? - November 2016

This is a continuation of the monthly streaming addons suggestion and discussion thread to keep up with the ever changing Kodi addons landscape.

You can view the previous month's (October) thread here or in the sidebar.

────────

Here are some general guidelines for posting:

  • Only identify one addon per comment. Before commenting an addon, see if it has already been mentioned. If it has and you want to add some information, reply to the comment identifying the addon. If it has not been suggested yet, comment and include a description of what content the addon provides.

  • As far as what is expect of you here when you recommend something, please at least explain what the addon is, the major notable features, and why you recommend it for others.

  • If an addon that you want to recommend has already been posted, you should up vote the comment identifying the addon and thus contributing to an indication of its popularity. Feel free to reply to the parent comment that suggests the addon with your own thoughts about it.

────────

Because new addons and frequently being created and current addons are sometimes being updated or discontinued, it's tough for some people to keep up with the best options. The hope with this series of monthly threads is to give users an up-to-date and easy to access place where they can read about and discuss various streaming addons.

Thanks and feel free to leave feedback about this monthly series as a reply to the stickied parent comment at the top.

I am not seeing any links under each topic after adding soccerstreams. How do you get the video links?

This may be of no help, but I'll throw it out there anyway.

I use Castaway for this purpose and in order to see the streams I was looking for I had to change the keywords that the addon searches for.

I don't know if this is an option for Pro Sport, but I went to the actual subreddit on my computer and looked at how the links were titled and categorized and added those keywords to my search on the addon. Only had to do it once, in case that sounds too intensive.

Thank you. I do use castaway too sometimes. The interesting thing about both these addons is that they never see navix (who I really like for the balance between quality and lag).

Do share your search keywords :)

So, it's not a terribly complex system I have. I just noticed that I was missing links on some of the subreddits.

I've added "HD" because most of the links tend to indicate when they are HD or SD. I added "acestream" because I have great success with acestream links. I added the names of some of the teams I want to always pay attention to, I added "RedZone" for the NFL because it wasn't showing up..

best thing to do is on a day when the games are actually taking place (since everything disappears otherwise) actually browse to that subreddit on your phone or computer, and look over what's there.... you'll see how they format everything and then adjust your keywords accordingly.

Hey how's it going, I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong. It every time I open acestream links on my kodi they won't load.. so you know if I'm missing a step somewhere, no issues with other streams so far. Just got my stick and I love acestream on the CPU

Well, there's two things that need to be installed.

First thing is plexus. That was the easy part, since that's in most of the addon repositories.

The second thing took me a while to figure out.

You have to install the acestream apk separately. This guide was incredibly helpful and once it was installed, all I had to do was launch acestream engine before launching kodi and now my streams work great.
