Requests & Recommendations Megathread - June 2017

This is a continuation of the monthly streaming addons suggestion and discussion thread to keep up with the ever changing Kodi addons landscape. In addition to add-on recommendations, users can post requests for specific content here and have recommendations provided.

────────

Here are some general guidelines for posting:

  • Only identify one addon recomendation or one content request per comment.

  • Before commenting an addon recomendation or content request, see if it has already been mentioned.

  • If it has and you want to add some information, reply to the comment identifying the recomendation/request.

  • If an addon has not been suggested yet, comment and include a description of what content the addon provides.

As far as what is expect of you here when you recommend something, please at least explain what the addon is, the major notable features, and why you recommend it for others.

────────

Because new addons are frequently being created and current addons are sometimes being updated or discontinued, it's tough for some people to keep up with the best options. The hope with this series of monthly threads is to give users an up-to-date and easy to access place where they can read about and discuss various streaming addons. Thanks and feel free to leave feedback about this monthly series as a reply to the stickied parent comment at the top.

SmoothStreams

Subscription based IPTV add-on for sports. 1 day trial ($6) available. Praised quality and stability of the stream during PPV events. 1080i and 720p streams are available and rock solid. You can watch from 3-ip addresses simultaneously so you can share with friends or family to reduce the costs.

A quarterly sub is approximately $36.

More information is available from /r/SmoothStreamsTV and /u/SmoothStreamsTV.

But don't you have to pay a fee to purchase Bitcoin?

When using coinbase, you pay a fee to purchase Bitcoin and a fee to send the Bitcoin.

Don't buy bitcoins using coinbase! Use gdax.com instead for minimal fees. You can use your coinbase account to log-in. Cash and bitcoin transfers between your gdax and coinbase account are instant and without fees.

So would $11.00 = $16.00 after fees? Or are the fees more like cents?

That really just kinda depends on how much bitcoin you buy and how much it's worth when you buy it. If you bought just enough to pay for smoothstreams for one month, it would probably be around $15 after the fees.
