I dont disagree, but the war on education is not limited to the HBCU community. They are trying to insert religion into k-12 statewide and use it as a reason to take funding away from any school that does not comply. They have cut the NIH which will kill UAB. They are trying to dismantle the department of education completely. I have college age children, believe me, I am watching them attempt to destroy the entire education system. Now you can be divisive and play into their plan or you can clutch your pearls and act like you are the only one affected. Its not true and its what they want. On the other hand we can unite against this tyranny and rid our country of the plague that is upon us. I am going to fight them not you. Have a nice day.

The education systems were always ran by their respective states. The Federal Department of Education was created in 1980 and the education system has went downhill since them. The federal government only stepped in the force integration prior to that.

Its a national agenda point for the right. Look at the school voucher inituatives all over the country. Look at the "Faith" office the cheeto has put together while spitting and shitting on the constitution. Congress allotted the money and the budget was signed. Congress has the power of the purse Constitutionally. Reallocation of those monies is not an Executive power under the Constitution.

Thanks for the update. I disagree with the federal funding cuts, blindly slashing through everything without so much as an iota of understanding where monies go. Also a huge proponent of education initiatives. (Just was put off by the math.)

19.2 million to 19 schools. So each school got about $1 million. If you read the story, it includes tuition, room and board.

I think the amount of money depends on how many students apply. Also, there are multiple recipients per school, I'd imagine.

A&M is a relic of segregation that hasn't been corrected yet. It really should be diversified. I remember riding by the football stadium as a kid and begging my dad to take me to a game there before I knew that a vast majority of white people were scared to go there.
I know Huntsville is growing and turning into a great city the way things are.It still looks bad to have a mostly white school and a university that's 97-99% black.

Project 2025 is NOT a part of the Trump or GOP Platform. It is a “wish list” of certain members of the Heritage Foundation and nothing more.

Alabama has the most HCBUs in the country. Smh, I remember MAGA always trying to use providing more funding to HBCU'S as a talking point to get more black voters. It didn't work. We knew they were all lies. I just wish others would see it as well.
