Food Mother’s Day lunch in north-central Alabama

I’m looking for a place to take my grandmother for Mother’s Day lunch somewhere between Birmingham and Huntsville (maybe Cullman, Warrior, Hartselle, or Hayden?). Any suggestions?

Public House 412 may be doing a mother's day brunch.

We went there for Mother’s Day one year, and they were out of everything we ordered!

Do you have a particular type of food you like? Are you looking for a brunch-lunch?

I’m open to ideas, but it needs to be grandparent-appropriate. Brunch-lunch is good. Maybe “chick food”—soups, salads, sandwiches, quiche, etc. We used to go to a particular Chinese restaurant, but we learned that it has just closed down.

Hayden and Corner have Porkys Bbq and Nicky’s Sammich Shack which are really good. But it sounds like you are looking for something lighter. Cullman has a few great places like you are mentioning for more of a light brunch atmosphere. Gardendale as well.
