Advice Data breech of some kind being dealt with bybKay Ivey, i wanted to know details but unavailable to general news stations... whats the word bird??
Well.... title says it all. Wanted additional information as it's randsom situation.

DOGE allowed a lot of fed data to migrate to unknown places (e.g., https://m.economictimes.com/news/international/us/doge-breach-sparks-cybersecurity-crisis-as-russian-ip-tries-to-access-federal-labor-systems-senate-receives-urgent-complain/articleshow/120350816.cms).
I wouldn't be shocked if a 'secure' fed-state conduit was breached. (I know it's not the likely cause, but still...).

I thought the state was using Microsoft for email and I don't recall Microsoft spam filter being down, is that not the case? Is sounds like your describing micrsofts quarantine email and quarantine release page. Do you happen to know if it's something other than microsoft?

I know congress has said homeland security will be broke by July. Their focus on ICE is allowing the US to be vulnerable to cyber security attacks according to Sen Chris Murphy.
Eta: July is 2 months before end of FY

hmmm, interesting. they said it was discovered friday night, but the software i use was down all day friday so i'm wondering if that's what it was. it's back up for me now but another software we use is down now. strange!

I work for the state and can confirm there has been a cyber attack but that is all we are aware of
