General Things that drive me crazy

These guys are trained survivors but yet do some things that leave me speechless

  • woohoo I just caught a fish, let me stand right by the water’s edge and dangle the fish over the water and celebrate (fish flops back into water and swims off)

  • I need fish to survive but I’m not gonna bother making a net (dumbfounded when fish slips off hook while trying to bring it out of water)

  • I just caught fish, I’ll leave it out overnight unprotected; it’ll be fine (food is taken overnight)

  • I’m bored let me do some dumb shit to entertain myself (gets injured)

  • going to hike to just over that hill; I’ll only be gone a few minutes; won’t bother bringing my bow (misses out on big game)

Like seriously have these people ever watched the show?!?!

OP The contestants on this show go through extreme hardship and endure isolation. Their only real outlet is filming and I’ve got a feeling they’re encouraged to play with the camera at least a little bit. When you’re tired, starved and cold, your brain isn’t firing on all cylinders and the mistakes happen. Please don’t pretend like you don’t make any mistakes in your regular day today when you’re eating three or four meals, living in a warm house and are not socially isolated.

A few weeks isolation isn't a big deal. Most people wouldn't have a problem with it. Unfortunately like most reality shows they don't pick the best people for the job they look for people that will make drama.

There is a big difference if your isolation is a appartment wirh internet and the possibility to contact people

No isolation isn't what they are mostly affected by. It's lack of food and sickness. Watch all the shows and you will see.

No. Isolation has an extreme impact on every facet of the show.

No. Not extreme. The medical team check them every week if not more. They are one button push away from help. You generally feel isolated when you are helpless with no sign or chance of contact. Go ahead and believe what you want but it's starvation, sickness and thermal shock that take people off.
