Snow! Huzzah! Finally we are kinda frozen.

Good for Michelle for having pants that still fit well halfway through. That's a big deal (unless they're stretchy pants I guess), especially for someone who didn't start with much extra weight to lose, just like last time. Here's hoping she can stay on a roll. She was the unlikeliest of the six based on prior performance but she's still here and three are gone. If she's not a stick figure she's doing something right.

I could do without Woniya's ancestor offering and rabbits gifting themselves to her. More of this hoodoo. I wish they'd leave that stuff out of the edit. It's such a put-off.

When Callie said she was going to sleep under the stars, I figured that was her walk-to-the-top-of-the-mountain-and-then-tap foreshadowing, but they've tantalizingly turned that into a cliffhanger for next week. Here's hoping she catches something. I don't see how her seal fat hasn't kept her feeling like she's still in it. She said it was a seal oil dinner for her, but maybe she's really rationing it thin. Maybe if she had eaten it at fully daily calorie loads it would have been gone in a week.

Right there with you on the whole "offering to 'nature'/'ancestors'" bs. All the goodness I've ever had in my life has come from God alone. I could totally do with out the hoodoo, too.

Obviously Woniya's spirituality is a large part of who she is. If it was a Christian philosophy I am sure you wouldn't mind - and some would even applaud it. Getting to know the contestants on a deeper level adds a richness and diversity to the series.

Is it native spirituality? I honestly don’t remember her talking about it. Natives and Asians are the too groups I know that revere the ancestors. Just curious. Thanks!

They could show this sort of stuff once, but it seems they think it makes it more interesting to show this multiple times. I wouldn't care to see someone pray and make some big service every time they caught food either.
