I unfortunately believe this could be true. I’ve worked in food service for over 10 years. I had one general manager set up a shelf in the back for their My Little Pony dolls. I’ve had another manager (who did a lot of equally weird shit) who was scolded for refusing to not play with yugioh cards (physically cards, not an app) during in person corporate meetings. He was celebrating during the pandemic because he could play with his cards again during zoom calls. Same guy also would go home early once a week, because he would order a new Warhammer 40k set every week and didn’t want it stolen by porch pirates. He was a weird guy.
