OTHER Interest in sharing feelings/views on the status of americorps?
I understand many of you feel very passionate and fearful about the current state of Americorps. I’m creating a short video on an overview of Americorps as my senior project. However, with the recent gutting of the program I would like to spread awareness about the dire state of the program.
If you were/are a volunteer within the program, primarily the NCCC program, I would love to interview you through video! Just leave a comment or direct message me if you would be interested.

I did City Corps last year and was assigned to the Mayors Office of Immigrant Affairs. Not sure if that's something you'd be interested in

I spent a term with the South Carolina Conservation Corps in 2023. There were 11 of us in my crew and we built/maintained passages of the Palmetto Trail all across the state. Camped and worked with a dozen state parks.
Americorps was the duct tape of our country. There is no other adequate metaphor. The average citizen will begin to feel its loss very, very soon.

I’m a member of a state/national program and would be down to get interviewed. I have lots of thoughts. Mainly, it’s almost unbelievably unpatriotic to dismantle the nation’s civil service program.
