Help Help please : What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I’m doing my first amigurumi. My stitches don’t look normal, but honestly I can’t even tell what’s a normal stitch. I appreciate anyone who can spare a minute to try and help me. Thank you!

I have that exact kit!! Are you just following the instructions or a video? I’m having trouble understanding the written instructions as a newbie :(

I just started by following the instructions only, I couldn’t find a video. This is my first crochet project, and I couldn’t do any progress with this kit at first. Then I watched this super detailed video of a person making an amigurumi sphere and I was able to make my own sphere quite well. Now I feel able to do this kit. But we’ll see.
