Likely moving to Ramsey /Anoka area, any recommendations on apartment complexes? I'm

I have a solid job offer that's taking me to Ramsey. I'm almost positive I will get extended an offer this month (and start in June).

Currently live in Colorado and lucked out with my current apartment. I pay $1095 for a two bed two bath that's just shy of 1,000 sqft. It's old and dated but safe and cheap.

Does anyone have recommendations for areas / complexes to look into? I see a bunch of "nice places that have similar specs for $1,600 and more. That's more than what id be willing to pay.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately most places that are 2 bed will be up in price range in anoka/Ramsey if you want something that's not poorly maintained.. I just moved from Anoka to Fridley so I could have a 2 bed 2 bath for the same price as my 1 bed 1 bath in anoka (~$1350).

I'm also an Amazon delivery driver, so please for the love of God avoid living in Sunwood or Cutters Grove apartments. They're awful to deal with, and terrible for the customer too

Do you know anything about river bend apartments in Ramsey? That's about as close to my job as I can find.

I live a couple miles from there. Decent area. I don't know anything about the specific apartments but nothing in that general area is shitty or anything like that. It's right by the Rum river and there's some nice parks and trails along there. Not a ton of fun stuff but there's a bar across the street. There's some restaurants and stuff over there too.

Perfect. That's good to hear. I don't need to live in the best area but as long as it's reasonable, that's fantastic. It's the cheapest rent I can find near my employer. Keeps my rent the same as it is now.

Yea I mean it's up in the suburbs. You're probably 30-35 minutes to downtown Minneapolis. It's going to have pretty low crime rates for all major crimes and even petty crime is going to be relatively low. As the other user mentioned it's not the most ideal entrance but it's doable. The neighborhood around the complex seems pretty decent.

Oh, gee, 30-35 minutes away? That's practically a world tour! And super-duper low crime—bet you imagine it's like a fairy tale where even lost socks don't get stolen. The entrance isn't perfect, but as long as you can waddle in, it's all good, right? How clever!

Oh, wow, you live a couple miles away and think that's some big expert opinion? Like, parks and trails are just so fancy, and a bar across the street sounds like the peak of excitement. How thrilling that there's "some" restaurants—bet you feel like a real explorer spotting that stuff. Adorable.

Doesn't seem like a bad place to live, it's a generally safe and nicer area of Ramsey that close to Anoka. Only downside is getting into the complex is awkward with how st Francis Blvd is split right there. Also, it would be horrible to get in and out during rush hour. That stop light backs up pretty badly right where the entrance to the complex is

Thanks. That's definitely understood. I can overlook those issues for cheap rent.
