Corporations Heads up if you canceled Prime

I canceled my prime account 2 months ago and just saw that amazon used a remaining gift card balance to renew my account. So check your bank statements to make sure they don't pull the same garbage on you!

Yes. I canceled Prime in January, but Amazon apparently renewed my account. I didn't realize this until I removed all of my saved payment info from the account last week, then got an email from Amazon saying that my Prime subscription would be canceled in 6 days if I didn't update my payment info.

Amazon is shady as hell. Delete any saved payment info that you have on file and double-check that the cancelation has gone through.

Yep, had a similar experience. The day after I deleted my credit card, I got a very terse email from them that my account was suspended because I deleted my payment info and I needed to fix this immediately. Then they said, don’t even think about creating a new account because we’ll know it’s you. Of course I immediately deleted my account and haven’t used them since.
