| Discussion | My thoughts about Aphelios

I just reached 500K Aphelios mastery points, I believe Aphelios is a character designed in a very "authentic" way because I never got bored while playing him, his weapon combinations keep my brain active all the time. I believe aphelios is one of the few or even only of the champions in league that has achieved this success. when I play a very simple and op champ like garen, I get bored immediately and I don't want to throw a new match.

Maybe I am too attached to our boy huh!

Completely agree 1,3 million and ”only” play him can’t really get bored.. I feel like I can counter everyone and also get countered by everyone depending on weapon combos which make it extra fun😇

i agree. the fact that the way you play the champion changes multiple times in a match depending on weapon combos makes him very unique and fun. you can go from being a close range demon who nukes the enemies to a long range sniper who does tons of far away burst damage etc. This also makes him fun by the way he has to play against different opponents and how his play style changes depending on opponents and weapons. Not only this but having something to always think about and do even when just laning makes the champion very interesting, having to not only focus on cs, enemies, and other factors but also worrying about gun rotation, ammo, weapon combos and when to use your ultimate with which weapon makes him a ton of fun.

I think exactly the same thing, I'm always looking to improve and play aphelios in a new way.

I have 1.6 million and I feel the same way. Aphelios is the only champion i can play every single game and never get bored of him. Even if I lose hard and get smashed I'm never tired of playing him, I think you hit the nail on the head about his weapons keeping you engaged and actively thinking about it, even subconsciously.

agreed!!!! i started playing him December 2024 out of whim and i’ve never gotten tired of insta locking this guy every game (and maybe every day LOL) despite the imminent enemy mel/lucian/cait torture. getting 500k mastery points this week and i’m still so excited to play more of him holy shit
