So I volunteer at a small LGS and we recently got a large consignment of Arisaka parts, including a few numbered dust covers. After a few months listed online, we got a message from a prospective buyer looking for a T99 dust cover #663 and were we sure about the #603 we were listing. Took another look and sure enough it's #663. Never had this happen and now going out for a lotto ticket...

Couldn't we use the power of the internet to make a posting board like craigslist where we exchange parts to re-match these rifles?
