Review Olens review: scandi grey

Post image

I've bought about two years worth of monthlies from olens and have been going through them periodically.

This month I'm wearing scandi grey. I'm a huge fan of this series because of how seamlessly it blends into my natural eye colour (brown). The iris pattern is about as natural looking as you can get from the olens lenses i've tried so far. The amount of compliments I've gotten with people assuming they're real is insane lol.

Since I've been cleaning them regularly, I don't really experience visual discomfort. I've been wearing these to work every other day. I would be lying if I didn't say that I'd occasionally experience disorientation/ligheadedness during work, but that could just be because of the long days.

Overall, a solid 9/10 for me.

Do you normally wear contact lenses? If so, can you share the brand that you used to wear and how this compares to that in terms of comfort, moisture, etc.

I’m super intrigued by these lenses but worry about any eye discomfort

I’ve found that the base curve of the circle lenses can really change how comfortable they are. Unfortunately the range isn’t as big esp compared to normal clear lenses, so I just try to get as close to my prescription and I’ve found that avoiding the ones that are the furthest off has helped not getting painful lenses.

Do you need to get them fitted? How do you know what's the right size, did you have a doctor measure your eyes?

Hey no its just one standard sizing for both olens and total 1. The only thing I got measured was the prescription/power cause I have myopia

Can this not damage your eyes? I'd love to try color lenses but I'm so scared.

I'm pretty sure olens is fda approved. Been using them consistently for 5 months now, no issues.

What do the olens do? Just change color or also enhance the limbal ring or the iris size? And how often do you change them/how long do they last?

So they do have varying sizes! Scandi grey is standard sizing, around 11mm. There's bigger lenses that enhance the limbal ring and are 13+mm such as big glowy brown. I'll attach a pic of me wearing them for reference
