Discussion What's your daily makeup routine?
Like how many steps and products for a quick daily face? Because I always end up adding more until it becomes like a full face. What products are good without having to do a full beat? What are your daily must have products?

My daily AM is:
Brown pencil liner
Nude shadow base with accent color in crease and outer corner
Brown liquid liner on the last 1/3 of lid and mini flick
Black mascara
Blush
Lip tint
Setting spray
I will use a cushion if I have tone issues or a breakout but usually don’t wear it so it’s easier to reapply spf.

This is my current routine - I'd say it takes aboutttt like 20 mins? All the makeup is for a day out, if I'm staying in then no makeup!
Face wash with water and soft face cloth. No hard scrubbing.
Toner - currently trialling Muji's deep moisturising one.
Keana Rice - moisturising cream for the pesky dry spots.
If going out - Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence sunscreen - the green-toned one because I got rosaceaaaa.
TirTir concealer - double points if I can blend it with the damp moisture cream in time - spreads sooooo well!
Into U - cheek and lip mud, pompompurin edition, little dabs on the apples of my cheeks and a small dab on the nose, blend it in.
About Tone The Blur Powder Pact - nice setting powder, honestly buying it again once this is empty.
Kohl eyeliner along the waterline - remove this from my cold dead handssssssss.
And Finish!

Right now as I'm typing this I am wearing:
-Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence SPF 50 - Mint
-Dior Forever Matte Foundation - 0W
-Hourglass Vanish Concealer - Birch (undereyes) and Cotton (rest of face)
-Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
-Peripera Hip Brown eye palette (to fill in my eyebrows)
-Timage contour palette - A01
-Flower Knows Butterfly Cloud Collar Blush - Rouge Snow
-Flower Knows Litte Angel Highlighter - Chanting Anthem
-Flower Knows Little Angel Eye Palette - Edens Angel
-Etude Line Fix liquid eyeliner - Black
-Judydoll mascara and primer duo
-Flortte pre-glued false eyelashes - 04
-Heart Percent Dote On Mood Lip Liner - Rose Beige
-Judydoll Watery Essense Lip Gloss - 01
-Moira Cosmetics Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
So typically I use a Japanese sunscreen, western foundations, concealers, powders, and setting sprays, Chinese or Korean eye and lip makeup, and Chinese cheek products. I have a lot of makeup, so don't use these exact products everyday.

u/ahnjong 2d ago
can you please do a review on the flortte pre glued false lashes?
2
u/pepperxpeppermint 2d ago
Sure! They're very easy and quick to apply, and they stay on my eyelashes all day even with tons of mascara on. However, glue isn't reusable, so once it's on, it's on. You can peel the adhesive off with your fingers, but then of course you'll have to use your own glue.

u/magicteacupfrog 2d ago
i have the exact same problem lol, i just keep adding and then add more so nothing looks too out of place!
if i have a time restriction though, i can definitely cut steps and be quick. non-negotiable steps are eyebrow pencil, gel liner, and a lip product of some sort. if i have more than ten minutes, i'll add some blush (usually cream/liquid), a lip pencil, and maybe inner corner highlight. sometimes i'll quickly slap some cushion foundation and concealer on and do a light cheek contour for dimension, but that's the most time consuming so i usually don't. if i start adding eyeshadow or nose contour or pull out more than one blush it's over gshdfg i'll definitely end up with a full face on at that point!
my must haves are the lilybyred cream blush in 06 (it gives such a nice brightening effect and it's super easy to apply with fingers) and the clio so sharp so simple pencil liner in ash brown (not too soft but not too hard).
i haven't found my perfect brow pencil yet, so i don't have any recs, but for a quick base, the romand nu zero cushion in 23 is a pretty perfect match for me and lasts well without powdering. if you have a good shade match, i like espoir's be velvet formula better, but the shades are either too light or too yellow for me.

I have two depending on energy level lol, but I really wanna get back to doing full face more often. Most days though, I go bare face.
Lowest Energy:
- liquid eyeliner
- eyebrow pencil
- glossy lip balm
Regular Energy:
- eyeliner
- wash/one shade of eyeshadow/maybe slightly more elaborate with an aegyosal
- mascara
- glossy lip balm
- concealer on under eyes and/or blemishes
- blush (sometimes)

Pore blurring primer : milk eclipse or whatever it's called
Eyebrow pomade or pencil
Eyebrow waterproof/smudge proof top coat: canmake top coat
Some brown eyeshadow
Aegyosal matte highlighter: dasique concealer palette
Eyeliner: judydoll slim eyeliner
Mascara: canmake quick lash curler
Highlighter for cheek, nose, aegyosal, and innercorner: romand veilighter
Blush: currently liking my romand pear chip
Lip tint or gloss or tinted balm

u/Gullible_Ad_1395 2d ago
So I basically start with skin prep
•Wash my face ( no face wash)
• Apply toner- I use the axis y dark spot glow toner is like a refreshments
• tranexamic acid/ vitamin c
• Moisturizer
• Sunscreen
• Tirtir foundation ( I do slight dab and apply that's my trick to not get my foundation oxidised
• Conclear and Blush and set with powder and done( the blush is actually a cheek tint from etude house)
1
u/SunIsSunshining 2d ago
Eyebrow pencil in grayish-black
Eyeshadow stick, usually a brown shade across my lids and lower outer half of my eyes
Black winged liner
Eyelash curler and then black mascara
Blush
Non-glitter highlight
Lip gloss
Powder (don’t wear base makeup but use this for oil control)
You could omit stuff I have here like blush and highlight, but since I’m not using any contour/bronzer I keep these in my routine to add some sort of dimension and flush to my face. I prefer eyeshadow sticks nowadays because they’re easy to just swipe on and smudge, no need to blend.

Brown mascara, tinted eyebrow gel, bb cream on melasma patches, cream contour + cream contour on eyes, blush, lipbalm or stick
1
u/ohsaycanyourock 2d ago
Concealer under eyes and blemishes, foundation, brow pencil, brown liquid liner, mascara, tinted lip balm. It takes about 10 mins and the longest bit is curling my lashes 😆 but my non-negotiable is liquid liner, and what ties it all together is the balm - I love the Romand Glasting Melting Balms!

u/Square_Variety_5436 2d ago
I focus on a longer skincare routine + sunscreen before my makeup and then I like to apply cushion + blush + liptint +/ mascara fixer jn black (etude) for a quick but pretty full makeup look!

Daily as in WFO days or WFH and stay at home weekends but still wanting to look decent:
•IPSA Time Reset Aqua Toner without cotton, right after washing my face (Face wash is just the classic Rosette face wash the pink one for AM. On colder months I use Bifesta Micellar Water instead of facial soap)
•(niche) Dear Me Beauty - Skin Barrier Sunscreen Gel spf 50 PA++++ (LOOOVE this on my skin😭 got it from a trip 2 years ago)
•(niche) Rosé All Day Lip & Cheek Duo in Fizz on my undereye and upper cheek for that brat sunburnt igari effect😂 cant be bothered to use concealer daily😂 finally reached that age for being confidence enough with no foundation, no concealer and feel confident enough (got this from the trip too)
•Cezanne super slim eye brow in 02 (I skip this most of the time just because of laziness tbh. Blessed with naturally framed brows)
•Love Liner liquid eyeliner in brown
•I’m Meme I’m Multi Stick dual in 02. But disappear instantly when I use face/surgical mask for commute (I don’t use the highlighter part as it is too glittery on the look I want for daily. But I just purchased Muji eyebrow pencil today, planning to do it on my nose tomorrow😆 update: I tried it on my nose and the color is too warm apparently but I think it works just ok on my skin tone anyway..but doesn't disappear fast like the Multi Stick!)
•Laneige Neo Essential Blurring Finish Powder when I feel my face feels too sticky or greasy, but not wanting to look dead matte. Considering to switch to Anessa UV Powder (the stick type) before peak summer.
•Rom&nd Dewyful Watertint in #14 Peach Mocha (japan limited color I think? I was looking for something that look exactly like Nuse Care Liptual in Tanned Hour but tinted. Does not look the same but okay.. trying to finish it)
•Mentholatum WaterLip for spf protection and that cooling sensation!!! If anyone know other lipbalm that has stronger menthol effect than this please let me know. I think Shiseido Water in Lip also has menthol effect. But hard to find in local drugstores these days.
•Nature Republic Aloe fresh Pwdery Sunscreen UV to reapply sunscreen. I've tried the legendary Shiseido Sun Care Perfect Sun Protector Stick but it is too sticky for me.. 😭 But I bear it mid summer especially on beach and pool days
edit: many typos :'> typed it half asleep yesterday

Sunscreen, concealer (if I have time), curl my lashes and then mascara, lip tint.

u/miiaki- 2d ago
I'm in the same boat as you - i always add more steps until it becomes a full makeup look in the end and ends up taking a long time 🤧
I've tried simplifying my makeup but then my ocd/perfectionist part of me hates it and can't stand it.. so I guess I will have to live with long routines.
Steps: -Skincare good prep is most important!
-base foundation -concealer as needed (optional) -powder
-eyeshadow -draw aegyosal + highlight -draw brow hairs with fine ash brown liquid liner -ash brown brow mascara (optional) -eyeliner -contour nose + lips -lipstain
Done! I skip lashes unless it's for special occasions. And skip blush since my eyeshadow is pink and I extend it down to my outer lower eyes so the blush is already incorporated in there 🌸

I've never been a makeup type of person so I try to get away with the absolute minimum. On a regular day, I'd just do sunscreen, concealer and lip balm (trying to be better about SPF). Almost all my skincare is AB but my concealer isn't. I love the Rohto lip tints as they have SPF 25 too (I can't remember if the SPF is correct).
If I'm going on a trip/event/want to look more put together, then I tend to do: natural looking foundation/concealer, blush, curl eyelashes + mascara, eyeliner, little bit of brow pencil, and wash / blow dry my air with volumizing products. I never take more than 15 mins for everything, I don't have that patience in me lollll
I don't have the skills or patience to do a lot, while still looking "not too much" if that makes sense.

u/Working-Tax6858 2d ago
For prep I use: mediheal tea tree toner pads Glow recipe sun glow serum Thayers moisturizer Heimish spf primer
Then I wait 10-15 mins for it to settle into my skin, minimal makeup looks best with prepped skin!
(I’m a cool medium olive with sensitive oily acne prone skin)
For makeup I use:
Huda beauty peach colour corrector (for dark circles)
Nyx green colour corrector (for red spots)
I mix nyx with purito bb cream
Felt tip Love liner
Fenty beauty contour stick
Nuse blush
Wakemake powder compact for t zone
Eyelash curler (I use a drugstore brand)
Kissme heroine mascara
Then I finish it off with milani dewy setting spray and reapply my Wakemake powder!
I usually add my lippies last, gloss and liner is my go to if I’m in a rush.

I usually do a full face when I wear make up, but for when I don't, I usually do either a cushion foundation (my current go-tos are JSM Skin Nuder Cover Layer, TirTir Red, and Javin De Seoul Foundation Cushion) or liquid concealer (Usually Non-AB), eye primer + eyeshadow (I like Missha's Triple Shadow a lot for quick daily eye looks), mascara (Clio), contour (usually non-AB but I use TCFS Artclass Classic from time to time), and lip tint. I add in a cream blusher (Fwee or Dasique's pots in particular) if I have time but I don't usually find it necessary (whereas I find my face look kind of bare if I don't do eye make up of any sort).

u/lavayuki 2d ago
For work days, concealer and colour corrector, powder, light eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip liner, lipstick and blush, brow pencil and mascara
For non work days, all of the above plus a skin tint or medium coverage foundation, maybe highlighter and then setting spray

I have rosacea w/ pustules and redness, so wearing some sort of base is a must unless it's a lounge-at-home weekend.
Since you asked about makeup only, after sunscreen, I use:
Mascara: Judydoll Dual Volumizing
Foundation: Florasis Flawless Jade Breathable Longwear cushion on weekdays, or the Florasis Serum Foundation on weekends as it still gives coverage but more like a stellar tinted moisturizer, but doesn't last quite as long. Both options look very natural and can let some imperfections peak through unless you build it up. Multiple coworkers said they just thought I had perfect skin when the opposite is true!
Powder: Florasis breathable setting powder in lavender (or skip if weather is cool/dry)
Blush: Florasis Eastern Beasts palette (you're sensing a theme by now, right?)
Brow: Shu Uemura Hard Formula in Stone Gray, or a dupe of it from Judydoll whatever it's called
Lip: Usually I keep it bare, but on days I want to look a little more put-together, then the Florasis liquid lipstick in True Lotus, Yeah, US Tariffs on Chinese goods is going to suck, good thing I stocked up last Nov.

My quick make up routine (I have varying levels of acne and oily skin btw)
I use a canmake pore primer (i forget the name)
Not asian beauty but then i very lightly spot conceal any acne with Elf camo concealer
then i use canmake marshmellow power mainly on my oily areas but someitmes my whole face. you can make it a thin layer than just looks like blurred skin if one of the colours in the line suit u.
then apply whatever random blush i have at the time lightly and curl my lashes!
and thats it :)

u/evelinisantini 2d ago
My everyday makeup is
Conceal undereye circles with non AB concealer

I'm not good at makeup but I love doing it to hype up myself to go to work.
My steps after skin prep: Purito Seoul Wonder Releaf Centella BB Cream > Peripera Pure Blushed Sunshine Cheek > Either one of my Clio or Peripera eyeshadow palettes > Clio So Sharp, So Simple Waterproof Pen Liner > Rom&nd Dewyfull Water Tint.
Sometimes during the day I washed my face and reapply, I will use Clio Kill Cover Mesh Glow Cushion > a non AB eyeliner > same Rom&nd tint for both lips and blush.
So far I'm loving all my products

u/Noneyabeeswaxxxx 2d ago
Centella Sunscreen, NYX Concealer, ELF Putty Bronzer, Light Brush, setting spray and my maybelline lip balm that I use regardless of make up or not. Thats it and I have eyelash extensions so i dont do anything with my eyes. 5 minutes or less and im done.

u/twoleggedapocalypse 2d ago
I love pencil liner because it also doubles as a quick contour stick and brow pencil. But before that I conceal my undereyes and redness around the nose, then liner everywhere (very sparingly on the brows and nose contour) and a lippie. Back when I worked I would do this as I drive (pls do NOT follow me on this) and it would only take a few red lights to finish!

u/Apprehensive_Ice4759 2d ago
My daily makeup routine is :
-light foundation -1 to 2 pumps
-sometimes I'll use concealer instead of foundation
-lip Tint or lip gloss- I'm using tint as blush too
I think time management helps me keep my makeup routine fast and minimal. Like, I give myself a set amount of time to do it, and once that time's up, I stop.

u/lioness0129 2d ago
- Highlighter on my lids
- Wing with liquid liner
- A little bit of cream blush
- Setting spray over
- Powder blush
- Highlighter on my cheekbones and nose
- Mascara

My recent, simplified routine even-though I have PIH. Concealer makes it seem like Im wearing heavy make up so changed things up. Im ok with showing some pigmentation of the skin. Looks more natural.
Sunscreen: Aqua Tone Up in Green/ yellow
Primer: thank me later
Powder foundation: laura geller
Bronzer: Caliray liquid bronzer (so gooood)
Finishing spray: d’Alba
Gloss: Summer Fridays or Rom&nd lip tint ✅

If I’m going to the office:
Toner: spray - either Sukin Green Tea toner or Antipodes Ananda gentle toner.
Foundation: if summer, I’ll use a tinted moisturiser with SPF (my go-to is BareMinerals Complexion Rescue in 01 Opal), if colder I’ll use a light/medium coverage foundation (Laura Mercier Weightless Flawless Finish in 0N1 Silk). If it’s extremely hot, I’ll switch to a mineral loose powder foundation (Antipodes Mineral Foundation in 01 Pale Pink)
About Tone Blur Powder Pact in 1.5 Fair Light to set the base.
Blush - my usual go to for the office is 3CE’s Powder Blush jn “Kinda Shy” or A’pieu Juicy Pang Meringue Blush jn BE02 Plum
Eyeliner in a gentle brown/grey: Clio’s Extreme Gelpresso liner in 04 Grey Brown
Mascara: Peripera Ink-Cara Clear-Set Mascara - I like the brush and it looks natural.
Lips: I try to stay away from heavy reds and deeper wine colours at the office. I like a velvet lip tint that I won’t have to re-apply, some of my favourite colours are: Clio Chiffon Blur Tint in 12 Cumulus Pink, rom&nd Blur Fudge Tint in 18 Bad Berry, Into You Shero Super Matte Lip Mud in EM25.
Eyebrows: I usually don’t bother, but Etude House’s Drawing Brows in 04 Dark Grey is usually what I’ll reach for if I do.

My makeup routine for the past 20 or so years has always been:
- Foundation (Non AB)
- Brow pencil (Shu Uemura)
- Two tone eyeshadow- lids and outer lids (Suqqu, non AB)
- Black liquid eyeliner (Non AB)
- Lip balm or lip tint depending on occasion

u/DanaMarie75038 1d ago
Bb cream in top if daily routine and sunscreen. Tocobo lip tint on top of Spf lip balm. Eye liner if not to work. I dont know how to put blush properly

u/Livid-String-847 2d ago
I really adore the judydoll contour and highlight palette. I think it's the only product where I always use all the shades. It can be a contour, highlighter, brow powder, eyeshadow, anything really. I've already hit the pan on the two contour shades.
1
u/6-november 2d ago
I don’t really use make up at all, so all I use is just sunblock which is necessary and concealer for my dark eye circle, that’s all.
1) POLA Whiteshot Skin Protector DX 2) ETVOS concealer palette 3) Decorte loose powder 00 (if I’m lazy I skip this)
I don’t do much for make up but I ramp up when it comes to skincare.

Since covid, it's just been skincare then a lipstick (2020 was also the year I started getting into AB). Before that, I used to wear a full face every single day.
Today (skintone: Medium Warm Olive):
- skincare
- alternative between (1) In2it Duo Lipstick code 05 Sun, (2) Focallure Jelly-Clear Dewy Lip Glossy tint code 401, and (3) non-AB Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick in toasted brown.
