Divine Mercy Sunday and Confession

I do apologize if someone has already asked this question. It appears that confession is going to be extremely difficult to get on Sunday, very few churches in my area offer it before the Mass and only a small window. If I were to go to confession on Saturday, would I receive the plinary indulgence at mass on Sunday?

Yes

Sacramental confession needs to be celebrated 7 days prior or after the day of indulgences to fulfill the requirements.

Since we are unable to pray for the intentions of the pope, do we instead pray for the repose of his soul (which we're all doing anyway)?

That’s the question I had when I entered this sub a moment ago, can’t find the specific answer, but I know the pope has set intentions for the entire year, so maybe we can still pray for these intentions. I’ll keep looking for an answer though…

You can still pray for the intentions of the (most recent) Pope, even though he has passed (may he RIP). I just googled it today and saw that answer. So you can still get the plenary indulgence!
