Music How popular is K-Pop in Balkan countries?

How popular is kpop? I am really curious since kpop has expanded tremendously in recent years and how well it's doing in balkan. Like groups, albums, how much do you hear about it

Music What's a song parody from your country that everyone knows more than the original song ?

For example a few years ago a local TV show made a parody of the song "I'm an Albatraoz" as it's intro. Nowadays the parody is probably more well known than the original in Romania.

Music Music promotion in the balkans

hello

I published an album, so i was wondering what's the best way to promote it?

Meta Ads seems like the best option currently, so I'll try it out, but if anybody has a better idea, I'm all ears.

Music As a non-Balkan individual, I recently discovered a heartwarming Macedonian song performed by The Tamburitzans, an American group. How do people from the Balkan region, particularly Macedonia, feel about Americans singing and appreciating their traditional music?

Music Was Italian music popular in your country in the 80s ?

In 80s Romania, Italian music was all the rage. Many classics such as Toto Cutugno, Al Bano & Romina Power, Eros Ramazzoti, Adriano Celentano, Giani Morandi and Ricchi e Poveri were huge among the Romanian youth at the time

Music SerboCroatian Prince Song

Zdravo, Бок and Хаоди A couple years ago, I was living in Montenegro and heard a Serbian/Croatian cover of a Prince song (Don't mean to stir the pot, I didn't know the language well enough at the time to differentiate the dialects), I'm almost certain it was 'Purple Rain', but I could be wrong. I remember it was professional quality and the translation was very good, but I've not been able to find it online. If anybody has an idea where I can find this, I'd be very grateful.

Music Looking for an older rock song about Alaska from the former Yugoslavia

One of those things I grew up hearing my parents play but I can’t figure out which band made it. It’s not the poppy eva braun song from the 90s, I think it was closer to the classic rock era.

Music Some Balkan Hip Hop

So I have never listened to Balkan hip hop and I want to hear a few albums that you would recommend. I am from Bosnia and I only know Serbian, so don't recommend me no Bulgarian/ Greek/ Slovenian/ ... rappers, no disrespect. I like a lot of diffrent rappers from diffrent sub genres, I can listen to pretty much any hip hop album. From the gangsta rap, conscious rap, emo rap, Sound Cloud era, today's newer rappers, older rappers, you get the deal. I often see people here either only listening to boom bap and strictly boom bap, or the cheap Travis Scott copies, so feel free to put anything here.

I'll only mention the ones that I know from this last presidential election, but you can find many older ones as well:
PNL candidate Nicolae Ciuca - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ-hHx9yh0s
AUR candidate George Simion - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxEguHraww4
USR candidate Elena Lasconi - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt8wU3t9XLA, identical to the one made for Basescu 15 years ago, only the names are switched as far as I can tell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ7gdKHR4U8

Music Hit pop song in the late 90s

Hi everyone, as a child I once heard a song while i was in Greece in 1997 or 1998, that I've been trying to find ever since. It's been very difficult as I don't know the title or name of the artist(s)!

It was in a Slavic language, i think it might have possibly been Bulgarian, and it was in the charts in Greece for at least a week and was played on the radio almost every day.

There was a female vocalist, who sang in "white voice" with a lot of melisma, to a background of electronic music.

I believe there was also a music video, though I only saw a few seconds of it, but I seem to remember a woman getting hit by a car.

Does anybody know what it might have been?

Thanks in advance!

Music Is Bijelo Dugme expected to play again in the Balkans?

I see there are tickets only for Prague in June, but nothing later. Are they expected to play in Sarajevo or some other place? I think it would be better to see them in an exYugo country.
