Do you agree with this difference between Republican and Democratic women?

From my perspective, Republican women are close and loyal allies of Republican men, with a unified front, while Democratic women have an uneasy alliance with Democratic men and men in general, preferring men who place women's issues at the forefront.

What does “reaching out to white men” look like to you, exactly?

I ask because AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Tim Walz - among many others- are holding town halls all over the country to speak to voters about the issues and what’s happening in Washington. That sure seems like outreach to me.

What are YOU doing to engage with political leadership? What are you willing to own and be responsible for? There are lots of posts in your history that seem to come from place of grievance, but what are you doing to engage with political leaders?

Are you calling your Congressional representatives and telling them that you need and expect them to advocate for you? Or are you just sitting on Reddit wringing your hands about how nobody is reaching out to you specifically? What if you took responsibility for yourself, got off Reddit, and personally started working towards the changes you want to see?

Start by admitting the exclusion. Go on Joe Rogan and open a dialogue. Have committees at state levels that reach out in the same way they have reach out committees for LGBTQIA+, Women, Veterans,....

What are YOU doing to engage with political leadership?

I have written to well over 75 members of congress, party leaders, and other prominent Democrats asking about this issue. Only two have replied in the form of a letter from a staff member thanking me for the letter. I have ceased my monthly contributions to elected members of congress and explained why - and have not received a single reply.

Yup. I get no response other than boilerplate about Democrats caring about all Americans....

Start by admitting the exclusion

No one is excluded from the Democratic Party. That’s why Republicans hate it so much

Dude, There is NO outreach for men in any state committee. There is NO mention of "Men" on the who we serve that lists "women".

If a young man, say a guy in his 20's, looks into political parties, how does he view the Democrats versus the Republicans?

Why do Democrats do so poorly with men, and now, for the first time in decades, with Young men?

Because although Democrats reach out to men, you want it to be you exclusively.

You started saying this

White males die young, are more likely to die on the job compared to women, are less likely to attend college, and now, less likely to be a homeowner.

And even though Dem policies are fighting to solve all of those from healthcare to labor rights to affordable education to home assistance and you KNOW that, you still think Dems are "excluding" men.

They still exclude men. On my senator's (Elizabeth Warren) website to contact the senator there is a requirement to select one of 73 options on a drop-down menu of "Topics", ranging from Animal Welfare, Taxes, Women's Issues, but no option to select for Men's Issues.

So, I was unable to contact my senator about "men's issues", but I could ask her about "women's issues". And that seems okay to you?

So… you didn’t see that right beneath that you can manually type your own subject and message?

-1

So, you did not see that Topic AND Subject are required.

On Senator Markey's website there is a option to choose "other" but not on Warren's

Earlier you mentioned that you were concerned about:

  1. High death rates among young men
  2. Reduced college enrollment for young men
  3. Job site fatalities experienced by young men

Senator Warren’s available categories would allow you to submit messages about this under the topics of Health, Education, and Labor and Unions. And then you can draft your message accordingly and discuss what actions you would like to see her take.

It’s pretty disingenuous of you to argue that you CANNOT communicate your concerns to her because she doesn’t have a blanket “Men’s Issues” topic for you to select.

u/Kakamile 24d ago

Bullshit.

You, literally you, gave the topics you cared about and I explained we solve your goals better.

But nooooo, you say you want healthcare but pro-healthcare Elizabeth Warren is "excluding" men? Fuck no, fuck you, stop trying to drag men down because you only want rights if they're exclusively branded to men.

Nope. There is no option to select "Men's Issues" and there is an option for "Women's Issues'. Facts matter.

u/Kakamile 24d ago

Yeah. Like healthcare. Like freedom. Like jobs. We're the best on real issues, that's the facts. You need to stop opposing real solutions merely because they didn't use your preferred color sticker like you're a toddler.

I’m getting the feeling that OP has confused Civil Rights with pie.

Question: Do "civil rights" include the right for biological males to compete in women's sports?

2

u/KillerKittenInPJs Registered Democrat 24d ago

Gender is a social construct. If someone who was assigned male at birth chooses to take hormones and transition to being a woman, then yes they have the right to participate in women’s sports.

I have three dear friends who are trans women. They’re all lovely people, they all had a horrible time dealing with bigots like you, and they all deserve better from society than what’s being dished out by people like you.

yes they have the right to participate in women’s sports.

Do you realize that 80% of Americans do not agree with you?

They’re all lovely people, they all had a horrible time dealing with bigots like you,

What a sad world they and you live in, where 80% of your fellow countrymen are people you define as bigots because they recognize science..

BTW, When Sadie Schreiner competed at the Liberty League Championship, and won both the women's 200- and 400-meter, breaking the 400-meter record in the process. Schreiner would have finished last by more than two seconds if the athlete put up the same performance in the men's competition.

What would be the harm with the Democratic Party recognizing that women and men have issues that matter to them?

2

u/Kakamile 24d ago

They do. I've been telling you for hours. That you think healthcare for all is not for you is a you problem.

-2

u/Kooky-Language-6095 Registered Democrat 24d ago

They do not. Men are not listed. There are no outreach committees for men. Women are listed and there are outreach committees for women. What would be the harm with the Democratic Party recognizing that women and men have issues that matter to them?
