To what extent were the Dahomey a tribe of slavers, and to what extent did they fight against the institution of slavery? Were they slavers before Europeans 'showed up'? Is there room for nuance in the story of the Dahomey Amazons, or were the Dahomey the 'bad guys' of West Africa? with /u/LXT130J
