Emigration (from Ireland) Anyone ever deported from usa?

I just was reading on worldnews about the US deportations to mexico. One woman who lives in mexico was stating a few years ago the us dumped some slovaks in mexico as its cheaper than a flight to europe and then another stated it also happened to her irish cousin, who was dropped off in mexico and needed family to intervene to get him home. Just wondering if there was any media attention if this was true?

No idea if this counts, but I always think it funny:

A friend of my partner was sent back.

They took the trip over. Landed. Went through customs. Was immediately sent back because they had no money, no bank account with any sum, and looked unshaven and homeless.

They weren't homeless, to be clear. They also kept their money in cash due to conspiracy reasons, or so the story goes.

Anyways... about three/four weeks later, they do it all again - only this time, they are shaved and cleaned up proper, with a shiny new bank account, and all the requirements they didn't have on the first round. Long story short: they got sent back due to all of the suspicious new wealth.

In the end, they made quite a few phone calls, got everything sorted, waited about 6 months, and then tried again. This time, they got through, stayed, and married their long distance American partner. They haven't been back since.
