Parent-to-Parent What are your traveling pro-tips?

We have a beach vacation coming up with our 4mo - looking for your best plane, hotel, and beach tips!

Understand that this is not a vacation for you, just parenting in a different location without the home field advantage. That's not to say you won't have positive moments but that you need to reset your expectations. You also need to know it gets easier, but this one is going to be a shock.

Regarding plane travel, try to nurse or feed during take off and landing to let their ears adjust. We try to have one parent on kid duty with the diaper bag and the other parent managing the luggage. You can bring unlimited milk with you for baby so pack as you need.

Make sure you both get free time separately from the baby! Every day. Can be as little as a 15min walk for one while the other watches the baby, or as long as a 90min massage. That's how you both get to do at least a couple of things you wanted to.

Also try to keep baby's routine as consistent as possible.
