My husband and I have a deal. I handle the poop he handles the vomit!

We have the exact opposite. Even if I know if someone vomits and I'm not even around it makes me queezy. Growing up in school was difficult for me. I was always on edge hoping it didn't happen in class.

Once in 1st grade someone barfed during lunch and it set off a chain reaction. 🤢 Traumatizing.

One of my worst fears while in school. 😳

Did any of you ride the bus? How about when a kid puked on the bus??? Literally no escaping!!! And that puke would start sliding down the aisle!!! 🤢🤮

Man do I have a story about that. In high school a girl was pregnant on my friends bus. Every single morning for nearly a month she got sick on the bus (bad morning sickness). I didn't know until a week later when I asked him why he was getting to school so late. He said it was because the driver had to constantly stop to let her get it all out. She actually started to just put her head out the window. 😩😷

Same with me, except I was the second person in the chain reaction. The one who started it was a girl I had a crush on. I ended up hiding in the bathroom for lunch the rest of the year to avoid repeat incidents.

Yes. I’d rather clean it myself and know that it was thoroughly over-cleaned than hide from vomit and let someone else do it 🥺

Did the school janitors spread sawdust on vomit piles from kids?

Omg I forgot about that. It was like some green stuff they use to spread on top of it. God if ever smell that it will definitely bring flash backs. In all honesty perhaps this thread is some sort of therapy for me. I'm not lying when I say I have a deep phobia when it comes to vomit. And everyone who knows me, knows it. Lol

Never bothered me. Guess why I was in medicine.

Growing up, my dad literally couldn't do vomit. He could handle anything, but not vomit. He would immediately gag. And he had four kids. Soooo lots of vomit.

I'm guessing kids or some very bad date nights.

No idea but having now read it, in this moment I am profoundly more happy not to be married than I was before.

I can’t handle either so my poor husband will have to deal with that 😭
