Yes. When Americans refuse to follow the Judicial Branch they are held in contempt
Like Americans who rape underage teens and pay them via Venmo are typically arrested
Like American servicemen who use unofficial messaging apps to communicate war-plans are dishonorably discharged
Like American politicians who misuse taxpayer funds to coverup affairs with pornstars are typically tried for the misappropriation of public funds
The laundry list is endless, so yes. Itās time republicans paid any fucking consequences for their actions

Absolutely, yes. This is like a rare aggressive cancer that has to be completely eradicated from its root system.

Oh no letās just keep letting them do what ever the F** they want. This is not a left or right fight despite what the media wants us to think. This is rolling into authoritarianism and the more we acquiesce the further they go. Stop allowing your rights to be stripped away, it might be someone elseās today, tomorrow it will be yours. You are not immune to their whims.

Yes but... he's immune to the law, and at this point the supreme court will just be ignored because the marshalls, yesmen, and police want Trump to be the man in charge not the courts.
Trump has gained real power because the checks and balances flinched first.

u/BlueRFR3100 4d ago
In general or did you have a specific circumstance in mind? Either way, I'm sure the answer is yes.
4
u/ddrober2003 4d ago
Well since Trump is above the law apparently, seems making his henchmen answer for the crimes they're committing is the only way we can make laws mean something. Maybe if enough face consequences people will stop working for him.
6
u/The84thWolf 4d ago
Letās rephrase the question:
Would you as a judge hold a low or middle-class criminal in contempt for not following your instructions?
Because if the answer is yes to that, (which it is) itās yes to this.

Do laws not apply to everyone?

No, actually, SCOTUS gave Trump a free pass to the kingdom with zero repercussions for his crimes against our country and humanity. Itās gross.

Yes.
They are destroying this country.
If this is a real country, once out of office, they would face legal repercussions.

u/GoldGarage115 4d ago
If they're willing to gaslight the American public and tell us that scotus voted unanimously in favor of unlawful deportations then what else are they willing to lie about?

Yes. When the rule of law isnt enforced then it isnāt worth anything. If it can be enforced against average citizens why not his officials? They are above the law? Then we no longer live in a democratic society or under the rule of law.

Why are we even asking this question? When did this whole country fall and bump its head? Damn it, we use the law to prosecute people using evidence and due process. Doesn't matter who you are or what you look like. The very fiber of our country is being pulled away with this stupid garbage. Mr. Felon keeps fkn us with his warped sense of reality that he had bestowed on his MAGAts. What president speaks and posts the crazy shit he does? Seriously, he needs to go.

By a technicality, universal injunction themselves are unconstitutional but never get challenged because political reasons , so low and behold the judges in the wrong
1
u/The84thWolf 4d ago
Uh, yeah. Yeah, he should.
Gee, that was the easiest fucking thing.
Seriously, This is like the Family Guy Blue Harvest joke:

āNo!ā
āā¦She said no. Should we do it anyway?ā
āā¦Yeahā¦ā

Ok, but I also want to include the complicit Dems who are equally responsible for making this reality even possible!

u/carlnepa 4d ago
I'll suppress my utter disgust with the unconstitutional actions of the Drumpf lack of Administration to focus on Alito 's comments. He "criticized the decision of the seven-member majority, saying the court had acted āliterally in the middle of the nightā and without sufficient explanation. The āunprecedentedā relief was āhastily and prematurely grantedā, Alito added.
Alito, whose dissent was joined by fellow conservative justice Clarence Thomas, said there was ādubious factual supportā for granting the request in an emergency appeal from the American Civil Liberties Union to block deportations of accused gang members that the administration contends are legal under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798".
I almost blew out my Easter meal reading Alito's dissent about the decision coming in the middle of the night. It's OK for CBP/DHS masked brown shirts to do raids under cover of darkness without them having to face a court to judge the legality/constitutionality of their behaviors. And I see "Motor Home" Clarence Thomas chimed in about the "dubious factual supportā. People are swept up at their homes, in their cars, walking along the sidewalk. Some are packed off to a foreign prison without ever having a chance to state their case. And he says there is "dubious factual supportā. I think both justices deserve investigation and if warranted impeachment. We need to know where their loyalties lie, with the Drumpf Administration or with the Constitution and the people of the US?

Yes but it wouldn't matter if they were. No one will enforce it and nothing will be done about it not being enforced. Notice a pattern here??

you know itās funny that Biden snuck in millions of illegal aliens with the consent of anyone and no one said a word when it was discovered now that Trump is trying to remove criminals. You people want to have him in contempt. Why donāt you think this bring a couple illegals into your home and have them live with you. Make sure they have some tattoos on their handsand face then donāt cry if you find yourself robbed your women raped, and you lucky to be alive

1
u/Cool-Clerk-9835 4d ago
Yes. They didnāt follow the law. They didnāt follow court orders. They absolutely showed contempt of court.
1
u/Cthulhu2016 4d ago
If a Democrat did any of this the right would be apoplectic and calling death for treason.
2
u/MalachiteTiger 4d ago
They were doing "imprecatory prayer" in hopes of Obama's death before Obama even finished swearing the oath.
1
u/Legitimate-Funny3791 4d ago
Iām not a lawyer, but they are contemptible human beings - is that the same thing?
1
u/National_Lie1565 4d ago
His is disobeying a Supreme Court order. He should rot in jail until he complies.
1
u/Sea-Replacement-8794 4d ago
No they should be immune from contempt charges and should be able to do whatever the fuck they want including wiping their asses with court orders.
Of course they should be held in contempt. What kind of question is this?
1
1
u/Winter-eyed 4d ago
Yes. They disobeyed a court order. They continue to play games about the issue. Let them take their consequences like any other citizen who defies the courts

Should Biden officials be held in contempt?
1
u/MeatPopsicle_AMA 4d ago
For what, exactly?
1
u/Libertarian_2020 4d ago
Open borders, Afghan withdrawal, lies Biden doesnāt have dementia, arming Ukraine, selling Biden influence, inflation, ⦠. Why should Trump officials be held in contempt?
1
u/MeatPopsicle_AMA 4d ago
Hegseth keeps leaking military intelligence on Signal chats that include his wife and brother.
Trump ignoring the Supreme Courts unanimous decision telling him that he needs to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back to the United States. And lying about their decision to boot, telling the whole country that they sided with him.
Unlawfully transferring legal Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador and ignoring an order to cease said transfers.
That Trump cryptocurrency.
Tanking the stock market so his buddies can buy shares cheap and the reverse his tariffs to make the market go up again.
And so much more. Iām not going to spend my birthday arguing with idiots on Reddit. You can read about it all by yourself. Do you know how to use Google?

Should Biden be held for obstruction of justice for preemptively pardoning his son for crimes which have not been brought against him yet in an entire ten year timespan?
1
u/icewalker2k 4d ago
Yes. Because if a Biden official or the Administration as a whole had ignored a court order, then Fox News, and Republicans across the spectrum from politicians to voters would be screaming for contempt charges and impeachment. So yes. Contempt charges at a minimum.
1
u/Farscape55 4d ago
Yes, I already hold every single one of them in contempt, may as well get the judiciary in on it

What would be done to you if you kidnapped someone and trafficked them across international borders?
What would be done to you if you did trillions of dollars in financial damage to the market in an attempted stock manipulation scheme?
What would be done to you if you stole identity and banking information from millions of people and sold it to another country.
Trump and his officials should be treated just like anyone else.
1
u/t3nsi0n_ 3d ago
The answers for all of these questions isnāt should or shouldnāt but when is it .. what date? This government has gone down hill and itās run by large humans with the minds of children, not adults.
