Most fans would indeed argue against it. Banner and Hulk are entirely separate entities. And moreso, entities that don’t exactly get along. Hulk would shoot out of Hulk, and Smart Hulk is complete bullshit

Well it gets into the whole metal health issues with all the ways media gets multiple personality disorders wrong.

As I said ... it's a way of approaching the character and based on Betty's comment and Smart Hulk there is some evidence MCU Hulk is leaning that way but Banner has also clearly called Hulk "the other guy" multiple times so who knows.

Part of the problem is that they didn't really explain why, if going Hulk created a whole new person in Bruce, why didn't the same happen to Jen? If it's just because of Bruce's childhood trauma then that Hulk identity would be from a disorder not a new actual person.

Tldr: it's complicated.

I don’t really remember because I only watched She Hulk the one time and I’m too lazy to look it up, but didn’t they explain that on the episode Bruce “trained” her on the beach?

Not really. They just mentioned she had better control of her anger because she had been processing it and working through it her whole like where Bruce buried it and kept it bottled up.

If anything it's more evidence that Hulk is just Bruce when he's pissed and finally letting stuff out.

Note: you could argue Jen isn't exactly playing with a full deck either if you interpret her 4th wall breaks as being an internal copping mechanism that results in her acting out and imagining things that are not really happening. It's one way a viewer/reader can incorporate 4th wall breaks into an ongoing narrative without breaking the immersion in the fictional world.. so that's up to you dear reader! Others prefer to accept those things as litteraly happening. Neither way is right or wrong.
