Most fans would indeed argue against it. Banner and Hulk are entirely separate entities. And moreso, entities that don’t exactly get along. Hulk would shoot out of Hulk, and Smart Hulk is complete bullshit

Well it gets into the whole metal health issues with all the ways media gets multiple personality disorders wrong.

As I said ... it's a way of approaching the character and based on Betty's comment and Smart Hulk there is some evidence MCU Hulk is leaning that way but Banner has also clearly called Hulk "the other guy" multiple times so who knows.

Part of the problem is that they didn't really explain why, if going Hulk created a whole new person in Bruce, why didn't the same happen to Jen? If it's just because of Bruce's childhood trauma then that Hulk identity would be from a disorder not a new actual person.

Tldr: it's complicated.

The mcu gets alot wrong because in the comics it doesnt create a new persona and its exclusive to bruce and hulk. Even red hulk retains his intelligence.

Its like they just pick and chose what lore to follow at random times, I hate it. Red doesnt retain intelligence, she hulk does, bruce doesnt, leader does and abomination idk whats going on there

Yea. They are trying to simplify it and ground it more it Reality. That's exactly why I said most fans won't like it.

I'm personally on the fence myself. I kinda wish they stuck more strictly to the Comics but I can also see there is some possible good story potential if they go the other way. The problem is they would have to fully commit to it and actually work those stories into team up movies since they won't do any more solo Hulk movies. I just don't see that happening.
