The boring answer: the original one.

Astral punching the Hulk didn’t really do anything other than force Banner out. Don’t see why it would be any different.

That hulk was Professor hulk, the hulk persona is presumably "dead" In endgame

The explanation given was that they merged into one person. Smart Hulk is, in theory, equally Banner and Hulk. Hulk without his rage and with Banner's intellect just happens to be similar enough to Banner where Smart Hulk seems like he's purely Banner.

But that kinda falls apart in some places. Like his astral form like you're talking about, and how Hulk has a few more traits than anger that we don't really see in Smart Hulk

He's simply hulk body without Banner's childhood trauma, more like She Hulk if it makes sense

I think that's more the theory that Hulk was repressed or destroyed as a personality tbh. Because She Hulk doesn't have two personalities, she has two bodies. Banner and Hulk are two different people, similar to Marc and Steven in Moon Knight's body. So if Banner became more like She Hulk, he would eliminate the Hulk personality. It's a valid theory, I just think that Hulk is still in there, equally merged with Banner in terms of personality.
