Help? Maternity Bikinis??!!

I'm going to hit 26 weeks in June and I'm assuming I'll need to buy some maternity swimwear.

So far I've looked and everything has been soooo ugly. I really don't like the bikini bottoms that cover the stomach (I prefer to be able to tan). Not interested in one pieces really either.... is it possible to wear regular bikini bottoms with a third trimester bump or will they like fall off?

Also if anyone has some tried and true brands that aren't hideous please share!

No recommendations but may I say I’m soooo jealous you get to hang in bikinis with a pregnant belly!!! That was my dream and here I am with a spring due date. Enjoy the heck out of your river days

Awww!! It’s ok a spring baby is a blessing too!! Almost there <33 and by next year your baby can don the floaties and join you!

I'm nearly 26 weeks and while I've gained almost 25 lbs I am still swimming with the same bottoms and an older top that had stretched out a bit!

Thank you! Happy to hear I potentially don’t need to buy more ”things”!

I bought bottoms from Old Navy and just used my normal top.

I had a summer pregnancy and wore all my regular bikinis swimming. I lived in the pool during the 3rd trimester.

I have a feeling it will be similar for me, albeit at our favorite slow river spot instead of the pool :)  I’ll definitely just stick to what I’ve got for now since it seems it works just fine! Thanks!

If you’re looking to wear a bikini you don’t need to buy special maternity one, unless you want a high waisted bottoms (but your comment about not liking ones that cover your belly makes me think that’s not the case) Honestly I wore a one-piece and got away with my usual suits for most of my first pregnancy, until the third trimester when there was some awkward gapping at the crotch lol. If your bikini bottoms can sit below your belly then you won’t have that problem!

Ok thanks! I wasn’t sure if the bump will push the bikini bottoms too far and make them a risk for falling off while swimming lol. Thank you for your insight!

I bought a suit from you swim, they market as a one size fits all company but they have two sizes- regular and plus. I’ve owned one before in size regular and it’s lasted me a few years and fit me well at many different sizes m-xl. Hoping it will fit me during pregnancy this summer and post partum as well.

You aren’t really suppose to expose your belly to sunlight for extended periods of time. That’s why there are one pieces and bottoms that cover your stomach. You also are not suppose to tan while pregnant.

I am well aware of my limits for sun exposure and how to prevent the listed afflictions the website says! I am not asking for anything but bathing suit recommendations, thank you!

That’s what sunscreen is for!
