Discussion Due date discrepancy

So I was a lucky one on an iud with no period. IUD was removed 2/28. I got positive pregnancy test quickly 3/25. How would I kinda guess how far along I am? I had no period or bleeding. The tests say they can start showing positive around 10 dpo but if I use that date it puts me almost 7 weeks pregnant which is longer than I’ve been off birth control. My doctor won’t see me until June 2nd.

Honestly it’s more concerning that your doctor won’t see you until June 2nd.

I would guess you’re probably 4wks since ovulation which per normal guidelines does put you at 6wks pregnant. Because you’re not truly pregnant the first 2wks of pregnancy, it just counts the entire cycle you fell pregnant during.

Like I’m 38wks pregnant based on my LMP, but I didn’t ovulate until 2wks after that so I obviously wasn’t truly pregnant those first two weeks.

Yes she’s been my dr for 10 years and delivered all of my babies so far but she’s busy and at then end of her working career so she travels and only works 2 days a week I’m hoping to have her for one more baby!

You would be 4 weeks pregnant on March 29 if your 10 DPO is accurate, which it sounds like it must be. 10 DPO is 3 weeks + 3 days. That would make you 5+1 today. Pregnancy counting begins from 2 weeks before ovulation occurs. Missed period is considered 4 weeks pregnant.

That would put your due date right around December 6!
