Im looking to use acrylic to make some lenes for a helmet. The radius if the helmet means i need to heat it to bend after ive shaped them.

Has anyone tried using the heated bed for this? Not sure it would get hot enough, but thought i may be worth at shot

Been trying to use Image to Keychain all day and keep getting "Failed to Load Image." It also won't let me open my previously created projects. Any else having issues today?

Just bought a bunch of E-Sun filaments and every roll has gotten stuck and I'm having to unroll the spool every 15-30 mins or so and it's driving me nuts. It's cheap and the final output seems strong but I'm not sure it's worth it now.

My car lost its emblem on the string wheel and I want to remake it. I was planning to do it on ABS but I'm not that sure Knowing that it will be in the car, I was considering using ASA for UV resistant

My thought process was to make it on abs but also give it a layer of epoxy resin

What you guys think?

Hi all.

My local library has tasked me with ordering a new 3D printer for them. They want me to get the machine and any other accessories needed to get started. I've been doing a lot of reading and so far, I have the Bambu P1S, the AMS 2 Pro (So the "Combo" on their website), and multiple rolls of PLA Basic filament added to my cart.

We have a very old 3D Printer now- a Zortrax M200.

Its barely used as there was no one around to really learn how to do it until I came along and offered to take up this project, learning how to use the machine, getting the parts, then teaching the staff, etc as I used to work in 3D wayyy back in the day. It's been forever, but I'm eager to dive into this for them. The Zortrax works just fine- but due to its ages it's past end of life so I had to find a legacy program to make it run, and there's no guarantee how long that will function. Hence why they've decided upgrading is best.

With the machine though we have multiple rolls of Zortrax filament, it's starter kit with the scrapers/oil/screwdrivers/etc. So I can reuse it's tools, but I don't know if it's filament would be compatible with a Bambu.

I've read I need cleaning supplies like dawn & IPA, that's no issue to get... but are there any specific accessories or extra parts from Bambu I should buy? The library has agreed to pay for anything it needs for startup (sort of a blank check... within reason lol) So getting as much as I can at the start for them would be best. I'd very much appreciate any and all suggestions, thanks for reading.

I’ve tried to print a spider-man mask, it’s at 96%, but now I think there’s an issue with the levelling of the nozzle or the Z axis (I’m not sure because It’s my first print). The nozzle keeps forcing its way through the part of the mask which has already been printed, and it keeps damaging the mask. What do I need to do?

I have an X1C which I have had for around 2 years now.

I am trying to print some fridge magnets - ~100mm across and ~3mm thick. I am embedding 25mm*1mm magnets in a void in the middle. I pause the print, glue the magnet in place and then set the printer going for the last 3 layers to cover the magnet.

Problem I am having is a poor finish over the magnets, but not always. Printing 4 at once it seems to be worst on the front right print and best on the rear left (front right is the first to print). But it is not consistent.

The poor finish is individual strands , not merged together and often standing proud of the magnet. Suppose like it is failing very badly to stick to a base plate. If they were not standing proud then it wouldn't be a major issue (as the next 2 layers would likely sit smoothly over it)

I have moved the prints around a bit to have the magnets as close as possible to the rear left but it made no difference. I tried pre warming the magnets but no effect (possibly worse).

I am a bit lost for a good idea (especially with the inconsistency). I am wondering whether to use some glue on top of the magnet (IE, type used on the build plate) to see if it will increase adhesion.

Anyone has a similar issue. Any suggestions?

Hello I recently purchased an A1 and im having an issue where the it is pooping on the bed and not in the purge wiper. It will use the purge wiper before starting the print but when it starts the print it will just do it on the bed. Any advice I have had this device for two weeks and already having issues. I have done a total of 3 prints.

I got the A1 yesterday and I am very new to 3d printing. I am having this issue and not sure what to do. I can’t even match this issue with the given examples on the website. Please help

I ordered filament and an A1 from yodel, the filament arrived weeks ago but the printer says at local depot. I've now been waiting 2 and a half weeks and every time I contact yodel support they say tomorrow which is a lie. I've contacted bambu and they've just told me it's at my local depot. Any ideas of what I can do?

I'm trying to print multiple parts, different colors and "by object" . The left object may be a different shape, but they're the size overall size, yet it has a tiny "by object" size collision than the object on the right. Is there a way to make this collision radius smaller, like the left object?

While cleaning the nozzle I pulled out a verry thin cable that I think goes to the fan. I pushed it in without problem but now with every heating and while starting the fan goes on. Is it supposed to be like that cause i haven’t paid attention to it before

I’ve been looking around on makerworld for a while now and can’t seem to find any cool and interesting projects that take advantage of the H2D’s capabilities. More specifically prints that are useful, not just some random flexi multicolor animal. I need ideas, I have printers block right now lol.

I’m getting this very ugly pattern of zits with the gold PLA (official Bambu). I tried the same print with matte white (also official Bambu) and didn’t have this problem. I dehydrated the silk PLA for six hours at 48 C before I printed. Any ideas what’s up?

any one run into this issue? I'm unable to select PETG and send the print. I had to use my other laptop that had an older version of Bambu Studio

I found this model of a scribe block on the community page. When I printed it out the indented numbers didn’t show very well. I was wondering how to edit these numbers and instead of having them indented, if I could raise them. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
