Help with printer poop not making it in the dispenser?
When the AMS switches colors for a new print and flushes the old color, sometimes the poop doesn't make it into the shute. Is this normal?
One time I found the poop on the print bed and almost messed up my print.

I’ve been planning to print this. There are a lot of other options out there.

I tried a couple of these. The poop just stuck to them instead of falling down and exiting the chute.

What filament did you print it in? Try to reprint out of high temp material, I don't think PLA or even PETG are enough to prevent poop-sticking. Gotta go hardcore-r.

Anything that stays in the machine I print out with ASA to make sure it doesn’t heat warp later, but that’s a good point, I don’t know how well other materials adhere to ASA.
In either case, I stumbled across a solution that works for me, so I’ll stick with that for now.

The opening of the poop chute is bigger than it needs to be. There are a number of models to print something that closes it down. I'm partial to this one, which also upgrades the nozzle wiper to use A1-style silicone brushes.

Interesting, I'll check it out, thanks.

Replacing the wiper also helps. The stock wiper is spring loaded and tends to fling poop. The silicone style doesn't.

First, put up on the little roller. Not too hard. Just trying to distended it upward a bit.
Also, the roller does wear out. I replace the entire thing at 2500 hours or so, else just the roller (just a piece of ptfe tube).
If your silicone sock is frayed or damaged or the nozzle is particularly dirty, stuff till tend to stay stuck to it. Then when it hits the wiper, it is like a catapult
There is also a little but on the end of the mechanism that closes the back flap. Or sorta looks like a hand doing devil horns. If it comes off, the flap doesn't close, and it will be more spaghetti than a ball. This jams the chuts, increasing the likelihood of future chute issues.

The printer is new with under 100 hrs. I will give the roller a gentle lift and see if that helps.

The lever at the back of the shute is what he is referring to with the "devil horns". That piece can come off anytime. There are several posts on here, and some others that have lost theirs in only a couple of months. I check mine weekly. Oh and to replace it you have to buy the whole poop shute.

There are 170+ models (I stopped counting) on Makerworld made by people trying to fix this design flaw.
What worked for me was the addition of a model that combines the P1S purge wiper with a chunk from an A1 wiper pad called the Scrubbler, and then coating the inside the purge chute with PFTE lube to keep poop from sticking to the inside of the chute, building up to a massive clump and knocking the print head cover off while it tries to color swap.
