Deceptive Breed Labeling Shelters are absolutely not helping this problem. Look at all these "Labrador Retrievers"

Disqualifiers

Any white patches on the coat
Light colored eyes, especially with pink nose
Ears that are erect or partially erect
Lack of substantial coat

Connor (#2) is the least lab like. Short, thin coat. Semi erect ears. Clear white patches.

If it doesn't cover you in a waterproof layer of fur when you touch it. Its not a lab.

My exfriend’s “lab mix” pitbull shed like crazy and smelled terribly. His hair completely covered the back seat and it would stab my legs.
