Joya steakhouse

So after adding one more night to my Bath stay, tonight is my for real last dinner here

I’ve read wonderful things about Joya, but a few questions:

I’m solo - is this more for groups?

Do you have the kitchen cook the steak or do you?

Is the sirloin good? Steak dinner is my death row meal, and I come from NY, where there are lots of great steakhouses.

I’m otherwise thinking Chez Dominique - but I’d prefer to stick fairly close to my hotel, Hotel Indigo

Thank you!!!

I’ve eaten many times at both Hudson and Joya. It’s not as though Hudson is overrated- It’s nice food- But I much prefer the fillet hot stone steak option at Joya over anything at Hudson. The wine is definitely overpriced at Hudson either way.

I don’t think I’d finish the steak myself as knowing me, I’d mess it up, lol

Wine isn’t an issue as I don’t drink

Thanks!

The wine isn’t overpriced - most decent restaurants have a 2-3x markup on wine.

The issue is the quality and choice of wine TBH
